I do the 16:8, I eat my first meal at 10 and then my other meal around 5-5:30. So I'm done by 6pm. It really helps me keep my calrioe goals, because I know no snacking after 6. I've been doing it a solid month now. I like it alot. My only tip would be to make sure you make your window work for you. Because I can tell you…

You can do it, this was my basic reason for starting again in Jan, got a message about my 10 year reunion in July. In 6 months, I'm down almost 60 pounds...it's definitely possible for you to do. Just stuck with it. Adjust your cals for what works for you, and weigh and count everything. No geuss-timating, haha.

I highly recommend the LG's....I have wore them during 3 years of intense oilfeild work in rain, snow, sweat, dust.... Also 2 years of various other jobs and work outs...in all that time I had to replace them one time...only because the left ear bud of my first pair got ripped of buy something at work. Didn't stop working…

I am, been for 6 years. Everyone always thinks getting your protein in is harder for us. It really isn't all that bad.

So, I've actually used a manual treadmill....once...for about 5 mins.....I hated every second of it. It is very possible that we got a really cheap crappy one. But it was very hard to keep it moving. It was just so hard to make the belt move and when you did get it moving it was hard to keep it going at your speed. Just…

SW - 251 Jan 15 CW - 220.2 GW - 190 Getting there, having trouble staying motivated to work out. As I lose more weight the workouts I was comfortable with become less and less effective. I don't really like jogging. But seems like it's gonna be the best option for me.

The only thing that has worked for me is having to have motivation. I'm a lot like you, have my mind all set to in the a.m. then I wake up look at the time and go....I will go after.... It took me finding something I wanted more then anything else to keep up with it. I have to have a reason, maybe for you its just fitness…

Haha, well I guess I wasn't putting enough thought into this. Probably why I gained the 30 pounds I did while working this job.
-
Thank you, sounds like a really good idea.

Jerky would be awesome, but I don't eat meat, haha.

I have no control on where we stay or even what gas station we stop at for that matter, I am a part of a 20 man crew. But we do get mini fridges occasionally. Im gonna hit a store for what I can pick tomorrow. Just looking for ideas.

This is very true also. But string cheese and protein bars get very old when you don't have much variety, and 15 days at a time.
-
Ok thanks, it's just hard for me to get my head wrapped around this idea. If I stay under my calorie goal I will lose weight regardless. I always had it beat into my head that you should have a high/all protein diet. I actually used to lose weight that way, but its just not a sustainable life style. Probably a reason why I…

I figured a lot of that would be high fat, and calorie.

^ Haha, why not right?

With my job, we have days were we sit for not kidding 14 hours straight, then we also have days that we basically strength training and do cardio for 14 hours straight(swinging sledge hammers, lifting large and heavy pieces of pipe.) The problem is, we never know what day will be what till I get to location. So in my head…

Has anyone ever used those adjustable dumbells you can buy at dick's and other places? I have been considering getting a set, and might be the answer for her also?

When you get a job in the oil field, your view of a-holes definitely does change, haha.

Also something I learned/still learning, some people are shy. Me being one of them, I don't talk to people of I don't need to. That being said, I was literally a memeber at one gym for a full year, and maybe spoke a sentence in that entire time to someone. Made me feel unwanted and ended up leaving the gym and changing…
-
Ummm...there is something wrong with doing cardio then strength training? I did not know this?
-
Agreed, and same. Definitely giving this a go.

This is a interesting why to look it it. See my problem has always been. I have my heart rate up from cardio. Then when I hit the free weights it drops. It seems difficult for me to get a raised heart rate while lifting. Seems from reading your experience I'm simply lifting to light. This will definitely change my workout.
