• Is this something new? When I initially started loosing weight; I was being too aggressive and my cals were too low. I developed a problem sleeping. I was at or sometimes way under 1000 cals. I got myself back to a steady 1200 cals and problem disappeared. Probably not your issue; but just mentioning it just in case.....
•
That's how bra sizing works.
Oops, speed reading....and I don't wear them anyway. It's a green thing. And... a waste of time.
• I'll take some of your boobs. Mail them to me. Thank you. Mine are mostly all gone. :{ Whaaa!!!!
• How is this cheating?
• The recipe makes 8 patties. It doesn't say how large. There's only 2 of us and no one is really a fan of mayo. We don't have mayo (shocking!) and I have heard there is a way to work around it. My mission has been to reduce the amount of condiments we have, and to eliminate the array of boxed foods in the pantry. So, my…
• Thanks again for the further input. The more I thought about it: I was concerned with replacing the entire mayo entry with greek yogurt and was thinking of increasing the egg. I did Google more recipes with 'mayo-free' in the search. At best, one recipe had 2 tsp or tbsp... not much. I think refrigerating is also a good…
• Thanks for all of the replies. On the olive oil; I wasn't sure on purpose of mayo - and would be happy NOT to add it in. Greek yogurt it is. Thanks guys! :)
• If you would like the most accurate detail in terms of *calories*; use a chest heart rate strap and use the app that comes with it to calculate your calories. I do have 2 HRMs, and for the sake of comparison this week; I have been wearing them both. (And....I have a home gym - so I can keep a lid on how silly it looks.)…
• Google.
• Better to be safe and choose sedentary. Then, log your exercises in MFP. Ideally; you should record your workout calories using data from a HRM and an associated app. :}
• When on the rowing machine: are you using a heart rate monitor and a corresponding app that tells you how many calories *you* have burned?
• I had to do a chocolate exorcism. Translated: I received a box of assorted chocolates without a clear calorie assignment. Open box..... try to figure out what you're allowed per serving. Mistake, bring the box with you.... while reading MFP community entries. CRAP! More dead soldiers in a short amount of time. And the…
• Thanks for the answer. I checked again today. The picture is the Apple Health app's 'steps' dashboard data; 'showing all data'. It's odd how Sync Solver works. I received the phone on Mon-the 26th. There is no phone step data until the 28th. So, I will check tomorrow. I would think the Sync Solver would vaporize data…
• Thanks! Your note is helpful on the cook time. I looked this up online too, as I have a box of Aunt Jemima that I was contemplating trying something similar. :smile:
• These sound awesome. Do you eat them straight up?
• Thanks to all for the suggestions of limiting the rice flour. I think that will work. I've never run into European recipes until today; but very convenient that grams are used! Thanks much!
• Thanks- yes, thanks my concern about the rice flour. I'm not saying all purpose flour is off the table. I didn't post a pic of my pantry or elaborate on the rest of the flour types we have. Had I; you would have agreed that holding off for a month might be the way to go. :)
• You're cherry picking my quotes. I appreciate your perspective; I note that it's a tough call on how what food choices to have on hand. I've never requested that any foods 'not' be in the house. My husband and I are very in tune with each others needs. I was tired of my body image. I've lost 14 lbs since Dec 2014, at the…
• Was that his only option of foods to bring home? He could just enjoy one or two where he purchased them. In my own weight loss journey; I definitely have been faced with making the proper decisions; and I've budgeted in my Fannie May and sparkling wine - while still losing weight. But, if my husband came home with a box of…
• Did you advise your husband you are on a diet? If so; not very supportive that he brought a high calorie temptation home in the first place.
• No way! Try a 'skinny margarita'. Chili's has an awesome one for 110 cals, usually other places are around the same amount of cals. I budget it in my calorie allowance. :}
• I haven gotten any weird high readings, I have a Wahoo & a Polar HRM. I occasionally get random lows (I use the Wahoo HRM most of the time.) I reposition it and those stop. Its about a month old, and it started taking a while for it to pair; so I changed the battery not knowing how long it was in the HRM before I received.…
• Before you make the decision to purchase one way or the other; what types of exercise and/or equipment will you be using? I am using a Treadmill, Stepper & a Rower. I have a Fitbit One. Because this exercise must be difficult for the Fitbit to sort out; my totals are all over the place. Off by many thousands doing the same…
• Also- it's important to look up the machine (on the internet) and adjust for your weight. I use three machines: Treadmill (11.5% incline @3.4 mph) machine says 555 for ~40 minutes Stairmaster Stepper (this one asks me for my weight) 140 cals for 20 minutes Rower (5000 meter program) 253 calories for ~30 minutes Taken at…
• With all the things that some one can spend a lot of money for; I'm surprised there isnt pre-measured packets of salt (sodium). Measured down to the gnat's butt. I just started monitoring my food in early December. The calories werent so much a problem to achieve a goal as the damned salt. Actually; when I first started -…

• I bought a Wahoo Tickr X in mid Dec. I also just bought a Polar H7, for my husband - who hasnt used it yet. I really like the Wahoo. Here's my comparison: When it arrived: Wahoo: Very little instruction, but very easy to get going. Polar: A bit more info, no problems to setup & pair. Straps: Wahoo-wins. You connect it by…
