I'd say just listen to how your body feels. If you get lightheadedness/dizziniess, then you'll need more calorie intake.

Honestly when i gave up drinking for lent (about 1 and a half months), I hardly had to try losing weight, it just came off on its own. My problem has always been I lose weight during the week but gain it all back during the weekend. not saying this will be true for you, but it definitely makes losing weight much easier.

I'm in! I was going to do this anyway. I also struggle with this on the weekend with friends and family both. I remember a few years ago I did no drinking during lent and I felt amazing. Looking forward to this challenge once again.

It's been suggested here before, but volunteer to be the DD more often. And limit yourself to 1 drinking night a week if you usually do 3 a week. Do something like that. I did it last year, and if i'm feeling like having a beer with the boys or whatever, I just had one or two non-alcoholic beers. Seemed to do the trick for me. Giving booze up for lent also did wonders for weight loss for me!

There is a program you can download called StepMania. It literally has ALOT of songs on it. However, you will need a dance mat with a USB connector to your laptop/computer to play it. I've been a bit interested in it in the past, but didn't find a cheap dance mat with USB to a computer so never went through with it.

Ya i wouldn't worry too much about it. Just water retention. My weight will vary by 5 lbs in a day due to water retention. Usually my lowest is in the morning first thing. But that's just how our bodies operate!
