  • Been doing good this week. I've exercised every day and cut my calories way back, but need to cut a bit more. If I can stay at 1200 calories a day and continue my exercising I know I can lose my goal. It really helps to read everyone's posts to know I'm not alone in this.
  • There's no time like the present to start a healthy lifestyle. I'm relatively healthy to begin with and realize I need to improve my lifestyle in order to stay that way.

  • I feel pretty good today, according to mfp I earned 583 calories due to my daily exercise but I didn't eat them so I'm feeling accomplished today.
  • Calculating my walking in steps since I have an old pedometer and that's all it records. did 5300 today but also did Wii Just Dance 20, min, Wii Fit 25 min, and yoga 35 min.

  • Hello to all, I'm Toni from Columbus, OH. Not new to the site but new to the community and groups. I'm 63 and have 50+ lbs to lose. (I will be happy with 50 but if I lose more than I'll take it!) Started again on this site 12/31/14 after a two year break. My goals for Jan: 1. drink 8 glasses of water a day (yesterday got…
  • I'm in. I thought I posted to this yesterday but guess I didn't. Anyway I'm proud of myself for staying under my calories allowed yesterday. Today is a new day to work on and I aim to be diligent.
  • Count me in. My goal is 2 lbs per week so I shouldn't have any problem meeting 20 lbs by Easter.
  • WOW what an inspiration! You look fantastic!
  • Congratulations! You are an inspiration.
  • I would like to be included. 100 miles sounds like so much but I think I can do it. Does it have to be walking/running to count. I do a 90 minute line dance class twice a week and it's nonstop.
  • Ask your doctor to give you some exercises to strengthen your back. I had a back injury and my doctor gave me 2 sheets of paper, one with exercises to strengthen my sacriliac and one to strengthen my lower back. I started doing them religiously and within 2 weeks my back felt better. I still do them but have modified them…
  • Thanks Joan for first telling us how to select this as our favorites. I've been gone from here for 2 yrs and have forgotten how to do anything. I think the "JUST ONE DAY" idea is great! Just for today 1/1/15 I will: 1. Focus on my water drinking. 2. will do my 45 min stretching routine 3. and will walk 1 mile 4. and will…
  • I agree the mindset must be a lifestyle change. I retired last year and am busier than I ever was when I was working. My biggest problem is I love to eat. I have lost before and I know for me the only way to do it is to keep a daily journal of my food intake and exercise routines. That is why I am back after not being on…
  • Best of luck!
  • Hi, that is one of my fears and motivators. Diabetes runs in the family and if I keep gaining it's only a matter of time before I am diagnosed. I figure if I work hard at changing my diet and more exercise I'm hoping I can stave it off.
  • This is my second round again also. Looking to lose 50 lbs again. I know I can do it because I did it once before. My husband is supporting me but not joining me on this journey, not that he couldn't use to lose some also...lol. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this. :) My goal is 2 lbs a week.
