Hi there! I am the same as you! I desperately need an accountability buddy or buddies! I have wonderful friends in my “real life” and they try to be supportive, but they are a little too empathetic when I “fall off the wagon”. I work out 3-4 days per week, ride horses and try to stay active even though I work in an office.…

Hi there Allan- I have been on and off MFP for the last several years now too- and when I just got back on, I found I am 7 pounds heavier than I was last time I was here- so things are not good. I would appreciate having a buddy or buddies to stay in touch with daily - it helps me with accountability. I have also found so…

Amandadancemore is right on. I don't know anyone who would recommend running every day. The body needs recovery time. If you want to do something every day, look for low impact things you can do every other day. The other thing to remember is weight training of some sort...it's important. I have also learned not to count…

For me, there is always something that kicks off the bings- usually sweets or another carb. Do you have something that flips the eating switch?

Hi there - in the last 2 years, I have had 4 hip operations- the last 2 were to finally replace my hips. I am 52 now. Anyway, I gained weight during that time, but mostly due to my eating habits. I actually exercise quite a bit. I remember when I went to WW regularly, these older ladies were coming in weekly and pretty…

I agree with the food scale- I use mine all the time. I also agree with prepping and pre-logging food. The removes the Willy nilly of what to eat, etc. it really creates a plan and takes out room for error. Good luck!

You aren't defeated unless you give up. Congratulations for not giving up! Good luck and try to remember why you want to be thinner and healthier.

Hi there. I am a former WW- lifetime member, actually. 4 years ago I was a t goal and weighed monthly without fail. Then, I sort of gave it up. Now, I am 20 over and don't want to resume meetings. I think for me, counting calories is more reliable. I was eating too many no point foods, but naturally, those have calories…

How did you guys do today?
-
Nope -def not fat. But with more muscle, you will be more defined and you will end up leaner as a matter of course. Great job!

I have a horrible time with sweets too. Normally, I prefer to chew my calories so wine is not an issue for me. I did spin this morning, which is not unusual.....but, I tracked today! Yay me!
-
Suzy- my best time to exercise is in the morning. I go before work- so I get up at 0400 about 3 days per week and go to the gym. Do you know your best time of day to exercise?
-
Hi all- love to exercise, not a problem but I hate to track food. I have learned though that tracking helps me to be accountable. Looking for tracking support....I am happy to support the exercise piece for anyone else. Former fitness instructor....I love it. Let me know how I can help.

Me too! WW lifetime member -gave it up and now I am 20 pounds over. 5'2" 160 GW- 141

How do we create a group for this?
-
Me too! And I need someone who will help hold me accountable! I have great friends who want to help, but if I say, "I ate 5 cookies", they would likely say... well, you can just do better next time......need someone more willing to not let me get away with it quite that easily. *sigh*

Just for today: 1. I will track all of my food (honestly) 2. I will avoid the temptation of sweets and carbs 3. I will stay focused on how good it feels when my clothes fit so that I can stay motivated Thank you Joan for starting this and thanks to all others before me for helping stay motivated....just for today.
