I make a huge steel bowl of salad to last for the week. I add each ingredient into a recipe, it's divided by 7 for servings. Each of these servings fills a plate, last week my "Everything But the Kitchen Sink Salad" was only 46 calories. To each of these servings I add and track separately, X number of grape tomatoes, half…

I like to have a Lindt/Lindor White Chocolate Ball with the soft truffle middle, only 77 calories in a ball. I have it with a half glass of craft beer or cider or a glass of wine. My little night time snack. Because I do well limiting my meals during the day I can afford this little treat at night, but not every night,…

Thank You azulvioleta6!!! *applause* So tired of the judges here lining up to take a swing. I brook no problem with anyone saying, "this was my experience, or this is how I handled it". But when others call everyone else who does not share their experience lazy, and say they are making excuses simply because their bodies…

I'm not so much kind as I am honest honey. :) And Yes I do; share it with a trusted teacher, (because I'm not a teacher even though I can spot good writing), ask them for any pointers they'd like to give, and then look over the teen mags to see which ones take stories. I'm guessing more than several do, I think I'd check…

I want to look like you!

This is YOUR experience, it does not follow that it is EVERYBODY'S experience just because. Does everyone have your exact body, metabolism, brain chemistry? Do they all respond to depression in EXACTLY the same way that YOU DO? Do they all respond to the same medication in EXACTLY the same fashion that you do? I think not.…

I'm a Vet, I'll add you.

I tore my calf muscle in Oct 2009. You do NOT want to screw this up, even though i DID go to the doctor the next day I was off trail for a year resting it. Well, sort of... yeah... After five months I hiked, it was painful, but I hiked anyway. A short one. I did that again in a few months, and again in another few months.…

I breastfed four children successfully and lost pregnancy weight each time, although it took successively longer each time. Please be patient, your first attention is to your child's nutrition. If you eat normally, (you are not eating for two or even 1.5), if your diet contains nutritious foods, contains 8 glasses of…

I'm afraid I haven't found a way to connect them either, which is rather annoying since I thought when I got them that they WERE connected!

Oh, and yes I am dealing with the Winter 10 again just like last year, it's every bit the *kitten* to lose and keep off as it's been for the last few.

Hi! I began perimenopause around 39 and got through it successfully with the use of vitamins/minerals/supplements. Weight problems? Irritability? Hot Flashes? HA HA I laughed!!! But being post-menopausal, WOW, whole other story. Within two months I called my gyn for an appt, I waited another four for that appointment, (I'm…

What I do for a correct weigh in every time: in the morning directly after I awaken, BEFORE I eat or drink anything at all, I Pee, Strip down completely, and Then step on the scale, centering myself and standing up straight. Make certain that your scale is on a hard surface, you have no idea how many people weigh…

THAT IS FRAKKING AWESOME WORK!!!

Thank you fatcity66, but we need to keep in mind, that everyone's body IS different. I was obviously born with a fast metabolism to begin with, so it's easier for me to work it. I mean, I'm 54.5 years and have birthed 4 children. At the age of 18 I was no more than 100lbs and I had to eat like a pig to gain the 2 pounds…

There are medications that affect weight for any number of reasons. Some cause a change in appetite, some cause a change in metabolism, some cause water retention, and others for reasons unknown. For anyone to blow someone off with "pills don't have calories" is unhelpful and unnecessary; if you do not have anything useful…

Wow, that's frakking AWESOME! Congratulations on your hard work and your great day!!! Thank you so much for sharing your story, I wish I had been so brave and smart when I was young. Not only that, you wrote it so well, have you considered sending it to a magazine? I've been through thin and thick and thin with this body,…

i KNOW, right? if i were to eat only the foods my parents had offered me as a child, i'd still be stuck only with rice a roni, cheese mac, spaghetti, hamburger helper, pizza, and the occasional McDonalds. i'd never have any fruit other than apples and bananas. my veggies would be peas, carrots, string beans, and corn. my…

Another tip, Ocean fish are less fishy than Lake or River fish.

I like Tilapia, it's a mild white fish so you will probably like it too. I add a small amount of olive oil to a hot frying pan and throw in my favorite herbs, then in goes the fish. Fast, simple, choose whatever herbs you like. For me it's garlic and rosemary and pepper, (I never add salt to any meat until after it is…

THIS^ yeah, what Elphie said up there. So until your DOCTOR DIAGNOSES YOU with Celiac Disease, the only thing you have is "Oh I have the most popular syndrome of the year, ain't I cute and pay attention to me!" Yeah, people like this trivialize the real Celiac Disease. The rest of us eye roll at you.

I thought you were looking for recipes. I used to simmer them in gravy, because turkey meat is so lean it really NEEDS to be simmered in gravy or it will be dry. Then I'd serve it with mashed potatoes or yams and cranberry sauce. Basically, keep it simple.
