54 5'5" SW: 189 CW:173 GW: 157 Even though that is still in the overweight cat, I was at 157 for years and was happy, comfortable, toned and looked good and went between an 8 and 10 in pants. My Doctor was good with that weight. I'm not a small boned gal but not big either. I eat at a calorie deficit and cardio on the…

I just got the Fitbit Zip and love it. First week I had it, I couldn't get over 5000 steps to save my life. The 2nd week, I came up with a plan. I have a desk job and instead of walking across the hall to use the restroom, I find myself going to the other end of the building, down a flight of stairs and to the first floor.…

Find dhoffman5 on here and send her a friend request. She is all about low carb and is one of my friends on here. She runs a fantastic page on Facebook all about low carb and recipes, friend her on here and she will send you the link there, it's a closed group. Great group of folks and lots of fun and motivating. My doc to…

you're at the end stretch, you've come this far so you can't stop now!

Whoo hoo! You can do it! :D

Sounds like you know the drill! I think cutting way back on all the carbs was my major success. I stopped all potatoes, pasta, rice, and bread for the first 6 weeks, all the white stuff, but have added back stuff like crackers recently. I don't have a ton of weight to lose but am half way there after a little over 2…

I just ordered a Zip last night on the recommendation of a friend at work that uses it. She keeps it clipped to her bra and swears by it. I kept seeing her head out the door and walk around my building at work a couple of times a week and I finally asked what the heck she was doing and she said if she is short on steps,…

There are just some things you build into your diet. I have to have sweets so I'm not tempted when I hit the grocery but sometimes *kitten* happens. I was in Ross shopping yesterday for smaller clothes and there at the register was a box of Mrs. Fields white macadamia cookies. I bought it and ate three as soon as I got in…

That's wonderful. A couple of weeks ago when I was able to sit at my desk all day without unbuttoning my pants was such a victory so I definitely know how you feel. Keep it up!

down 14 lbs since Dec 26. 23 more to go before May 28.

Wow, how have I never heard of Bento Boxes before. This sounds like something i would like to give a try. Your meals look amazing!

I've had the same deal so it's a good thing I think. I use my clothes as a gauge more than the scale because being able to sit comfortably in my jeans without unbuttoning them doesn't lie, it tells me I'm definitely making progress even if my scale disagrees. I am also doing weights 3-4 times a week.

I cant do a lot of fruit because it's high in vit C and the acid content kills my stomach but I keep bag fulls of baby carrots in the fridge and for some reason that seems to take away any cravings I have. I also use local honey if I need to sweeten something, just a bit goes along way.

You look wonderful, I really need to see these kinds of pics to keep me motivated. Thanks so much for posting them!

I could probably live on bread, San Francisco extra sourdough slathered with butter especially. That was one of my downfalls and one of the things I had to give up on a regular basis. Now instead of routine a couple of times a week, I use it as a treat a couple of times a month. Other than that, I'm not a big bread eater.

I'm 5'5" and 175 at the moment but hovered around 152 for the last 20 years and I was comfortable with that. I wore between an 8 and 10 in pants depending on the cut. I'm pretty top heavy and don't look balanced at a weight lower then 150 because of the big boobs. I stayed at 132 all through my 20s but always had back…

I'm with everyone else, I have my husband and 17 year old son, work full time 50 plus hours a week and of course maintain the house and everything else in our lives. I have MFP friends that burn almost 2000 cal a day on all these extreme cardio programs for hours throughout the day and I have no idea how they have the time…

Very motivating, you are awesome and thanks for sharing!

I look at other diary's to see if others are eating something I might like to add to my own diet, I tend to get stuck on the same things. If you look at my diary now, you can see I pretty much have cottage cheese and lean sandwich meat everyday for lunch. I usually look at others to see what they had for lunch to change…

My diary is open and you are welcome to view. I don't mind at all people viewing it, what I take issue with is some folks that send private messages that say " I just looked at your food diary and saw that you had a bag of Skittles 3 days ago. Did you really need those?" or "I was just going through various food diaries…

We are sort of in the same boat. I will be 55 this year and really never had a problem with my weight until I got sick last year and spent months on steroids. That caused me to eat everything in sight. I joined MFP to help track calories and exercise and to get a little more motivation from some of the folks on here. I am…

I started using my sons weight bench last year to tone up my legs and work on back fat to be quite honest. I have my own little routine that I have plucked out of various programs and websites on weights to focus on the areas I wanted to fix. I still have my curves but the back fat is gone, my shoulders and arms are toned,…

FatFreeFrolicking you seem to be looking for some sort of cat fight. You really come off as quite a bully whether you mean to or not. What works for some, may not work for others. I eat healthy and have no problems maintaining my weight. Judging by your 3424 posts you probably have a little more time on your hands then…

i was doing it every Friday morning but have changed to every 10 days now. I don't know why but when I was doing it weekly didn't seem to move much where doing it every 10, I can see the weight going down.

I use Slim fast as part of my over all diet and it works for me as well Tomlinson. I usually drink a shake in the morning and sometimes lunch as well. Some of the folks on here can be a little judgy but just blow them off. If it works for you then do it. I friend those with similar diet styles as mine and remove those that…

12 lbs since Jan 1. Cut out most carbs, sugar, and hit the treadmill and weight bench.

1 1/2 pacs of chicken Top Ramen every single morning for 6 years. It had to have 3 giant shakes of Tabasco sauce and a handful of pork rinds. Clearly it was and addiction but when I quit eating it cold turkey last year, I lost almost 10 lbs in 2 weeks from all the sodium that left my body. The nutritional value never even…

Beautiful! Doesn't that make you feel awesome! :D
