Thanks for your replies I will look at the sites and find that book!!

My motivation is that it is my "me" time. It is my time to think if I want or just focus on the run. I love the feel of accomplishment even when my run is not as good as previous ones.

Thanks for the replies. Think I will try logging first. It is hard to log homemade treats that you didn't make yourself. Tomorrow is catered in Olive Garden. I think I will plan ahead! Thanks for the support!

Good luck...seems like you have the right attitude

You can only do it if you try. Trying doesn't always mean succeeding but willing to learn and try again. True success is when you never stop trying.

I run at least 1-2 times a week and more if the schedule allows. I run because it is my "me" time. I run a lot on the treadmill because of scheduling but also recently ran outdoors and find I love both. To have a good 40 minutes or sometimes more to myself and then the thrill of accomplishment afterwards is great. I really…

Thanks for the replies. It really helps. I will do what feels right and get into my own zone. I don't run to race, but have found when I run it is my "me" time and I really enjoy it. Thanks again as I look forward to my next run!

Thanks for the responses. I think I will push slightly harder next time. I use my Samsung Galaxy S4 active to map the run and give me feedback. It did say I reached my fastest time between mile 2 and 3. Hopefully as I run more outside it will get easier to pace correctly. Is 3.33 miles in 40 minutes good? What should I am…

Thanks for the helpful replies @rybo @csman49 and @jemhh I am going to look into some of it. @csman49 Do you think 50 lb bags of cattle feed would help? I lift them fairly frequently but don't do specific exercises with them...

I did C25K two years ago and completed it and have never ran before. I felt so much better after I ran. Ended up with some medical issues and with weather and other excuses I stopped running. In December 2014, my husband bought me a treadmill. Now I have no excuses and restarted C25k. I have had trouble doing the program…

I have recently found out I love grapefruit. How do most of you eat them? I have been cutting in half and scooping it out after using a knife to cut around the sections. A friend of mine says to peel them and eat them like an orange. I tried that and it had too much peel left for me. Anyone have a faster way to eat them?

I am a teacher as well. Luckily I have to walk the halls of the school all day and can stop if I have to. I have found that if I am moving I can sip water most of the morning without needing to go though. I have a 20 minute drive to school so I make sure I drink on the drive in the morning and the. Use the restroom before…

This is me. I want a general guess of how much I eat, but don't get into weighing and measuring everything. I have lost some, but I am more focused on the look and like the way that I have changed the way I look. It is definitely an eye opener to pay attention to how many calories different foods have and the portion…

I have long hair and usually I work out in the afternoons. but if I have to go somewhere after working out, I blow dry my hair and do a pony tail, messy bun, or some kind of up-do. Usually my hair is oily looking so that is the reason for the up-do. I have tried a dry shampoo and I don't like the way it looks and feels

5'10.5 and my goal is 150. I am currently 157. Looking to tone and shape and just generally feel better.

I am also starting Insanity again. I started about a month ago and had to stop for a week because of life stuff, but I am starting again. I love the workouts and how they make me feel, but they are difficult and truly insane! I am also doing C25K on my treadmill and it makes it hard on those run days to do both, but I am…

I had a similar problem with my calves. I took a day off then went back to it. I am restarting again because I had to take a week off. Think I will start tomorrow
-
W3d2 finished!! Did extra on the treadmill today. Snowed in so looking forward to insanity tomorrow and day 3 on Wednesday
-
Great start!! Keep it up and you can do it!!!!
-
Finally got to get back to it after a week off. I went ahead and tried w3d1 yesterday and was able to complete without a problem! I was so surprised since I hadn't ran for a full week. I look forward to tomorrow

I am a little discouraged because I have not been able to run or exercise for three days. My son had a 4 wheeler accident and taking care of him has been more important. I hope to get back on track soon, but it may be a few more days. I guess I will be redoing week 2 to make sure I am ready before continuing with week 3
-
Congrats!!! It definitely a mental challenge as well as physical if not more so. Keep it up and keep positive thoughts
-
Finished w2d3 with enough energy left to do insanity. Great day!
-
Congrats to both of you! Keep up the great work! I am going to finish week 2 this afternoon. I think I may try to pick up the pace a little to get ready for next week as well. I am curious as to what everyone is doing over the weekend. I know the program is set up for 3x a week and I will finish my week today. Do you skip…
-
Finished w2d2 today. Upped the speed by .2 an still maintained with no problems. Couldn't do day 6 of insanity today though. Glad to run!

February 1 - 61 minutes February 2 - 62 minutes

Nothing wrong with walking more or repeating! You will get there! Just keep it up and don't give up completely! Way to go!
-
Way to go! Just to let you know, I tried to do that and continue until I had a full hour in on my treadmill and ended up with a knee hurting. I had to take time off and I just restarted last week. It is hard to make myself stop after the program tells me to, but I have not had any knee pain. Just be careful! Congrats!

I will not give up my 2% milk and Nesquick powder in the mornings. Have drank this all my life and I love it. I have cut back but will not give it up. I also have to say my homemade wine.
