Mine is also open

I get up at 5 just for my normal routine to get to work by 6:45 (30 min commute). There is no way I am dragging myself out of bed any earlier to exercise. I walk a lot at work, but I fit in my exercise in the afternoons after work or on the weekend.

It is a big difference but I really love them both. I always enjoy the run even if it isn't as good as I would hope!
-
Thanks that helps and I am definitely just a recreational runner...I love how it makes me feel.

Definitely against myself. I tried running last year and got to 6 miles then stopped for a million of no good reasons then picked it back up again on the treadmill a few months ago. I love to run outside, but can't run in the dark where I live, so it is the treadmill til the days get longer. So I guess that would still…

Well noted. I will just increase distance the next several weeks and hope the speed increases on its own. Thanks for all the input.
-
Thanks that helps a lot. I will shoot for the 50 minute mark over the next several weeks.
-
Thanks for the encouragement! ☺

I never have ran a race and I don't think I have a desire to run in a race. I just like to run and push myself to new personal goals but didn't know how to compare my results with others...am I doing good to add more miles and/or speed? I felt good after today's run. I do use S Health on my phone for running that tracks…
-
Thanks that helps. Just wondering if I am on track or should push to a faster time or keep time and go for longer distances
-
No I guess I should have put in am 38 female 5'10 152 lbs. So is that a good average or should I goal to make that a lot faster. I don't run in races and was just curious what kind of goal I realistically cam set for myself.

Finally reached 8 miles on the treadmill in less than 1.5 hours...hope to make it in less today
-
Everyone has their own opinions about what they would like in themself. I will take thus as a compliment though, thanks.

I did mean after the exercise calories. I eat what MFP suggests, but have excess because of my excercise and that is after eating some of them back. As I mentioned, I already enter a lower amount of calories for the exercise. Based on a calorie burned calculator I should have burned over 1000 but I only listed 811. This…

Any opinions?
-
Thanks for the replies...that helps

I hope you don't mind that I tag a question on here...everyone says MFP is overestimating calories burned. I use my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active as my tracker (which doesn't sync). Anyway the treadmill said I burned 1348 calories in an hour and 45 minutes and my phone and MFP was only about 20 calories different or so and MFP…

Same here...glad I work out at home because I would have the same problem of the shower and looks...when I finished my run on the treadmill today it looked like I just stepped out of the shower with my clothes on...very embarrassing so I make sure I work out only at home
-
Can I join?
-
Is it too late??
-
I use MFP instead of what my treadmill says because it is usually a lot lower than the treadmill

Mine is 1.5 and sedentary and it set me to 1200 as well. I only measure with spoons and cups and the eyeball. I have only started logging again 10 days ago for a challenge at work as well. I feel your pain of giving up the finer things and on some days feeling like I am starving and constantly think about food. Other days…

I understand. My husband doesn't 100% support either. I get eye rolls and "I guess your going to run" (insert sarcasm). My husband wants to lose some weight and I think it is the fact I have will power and the want to and all he does is talk about it. He tells me the same...that I look good how I am (but I wouldn't want to…

I would say spices to help...Italian seasoning, cinnamon, garlic, onion, cilantro, cajun, etc. That will help add flavor to anything.

This. I buy freezer beef from a local farmer and get 1/2 side at a time. This will feed my family of 4 (2 teenage boys, my husband, and myself) for a good 8-12 months depending on how much other meat we eat. It is a WHOLE lot cheaper for a better quality. I pay the same for a t-bone or ribeye steak that most people spend…

I don't have any scientific proof but I know I feel differently based on what I eat, how much of it and when...even if it fits in my calories. I would have to ask you if you adjusted to 500-600 calories in the morning, what would the rest of your day look like? Do you exercise in the morning or evening, do you work all…
-
Everything!!! My new favorite is fish, especially salmon. All kinds of veggies...corn, asparagus, squash, taters, etc.
-
I don't weigh either. I agree that you don't seem to be having a problem with any of that. As for extra calories at the end of the day...I think that you just decide if you want to eat more or not. If you are not hungry, then don't eat, but if you are then have a snack within your calorie range. I agree with whoever said…

I agree that camping is about the fun you have and if part of that fun is smores and beer then don't give it up. Sounds like you are retaining water and it takes a while to get rid of it. I agree with the poster that said drink more water during the day. I also suggest to have a lot of the veggies you bring before eating…
