5.5 mile walk

I was on WW and I lost some weight - but I have lost just as much in 2 mnths here as I did in about 6 mnths there. Why? well I think that WW has some big flaws in not counting the things they should. Weighing out everything that goes in my mouth, knowing the cals, not guessing at random things that the database doesn't…

I agree with you - I am not a cheat day kinda gal. Why undo all that I worked hard for all week. Nope. I make sure if I want to eat more, I exercise more so that I can still run the deficit to lose weight. I also think for me, cheat days would have the potential to be mentally unhealthy, like previous poster said - you are…

Best. Thread. EVER. lmao

Lesbian - non single - would like more friends, add me :) (( canadian ))

I love to just bake it (cut it in half lay cut side up) put a tiny bit of butter and sugar in each (or maple syrup). DELICIOUS.
-
I typically don't eat them back but when I do it's because I exercised loads above and beyond my normal exercise to earn extra wiggle-room to eat something I wouldn't allow the calories for on any given day (like the meal out to a restaurant on the weekend etc).

Yes, you should see changes in your face - fat is fat, it doesn't matter where it is. If you lose fat you lose fat :)
-
I also see where I could be, through watching this show - and use it as motivation. I agree the two gals were MADDENING to say the least. Real or not, the stories behind them COULD be real, even if not for them, someone out there is likely living that life... so that aspect doesn't bother me. I had some family members (3…

Feel free to add me. I started at 312lbs and my goal is 180. I am down about 74 of that - 58 or so lbs to go! I check in daily :)
-
There are 3 reasons I don't work out. 1. Injury 2. Illness 3. I just plain don't want to. ;) I don't make excuses typically, I do it or I don't.

I have a few ... party in USA - got it. I also have womanizer ;) Oh and maybe some karma chameleon. DON'T JUDGE ME! ;)
-
1. Make a goal sheet - say 10 or however many reasons you want to lose weight. Hang it somewhere you will see it every day! 2. Friends, let them know your goals and they will support you! 3. I am a huge fan of data - if you are too get a fitbit, it will inspire you to move more. 4. fitness pals to help drag you to the gym…

Picking just one? well lemme see there was the time post disability (pre disability I was a runner, thin, in shape, gym rat. Disability hit, a bunch of bedrest and someone else cooking for me I gained weight). I was out one day in my wheelchair and a stranger came up and said "If you weren't fat you wouldn't need that…

Congrats! :D

I hear ya. Do what you can. SCIfit really IS great, I still use it on days when my legs say hell no. ;)
-
YW. I was in a wheelchair fr 6 yrs and those vids kept me sane. Now I am working on the whole "walking" thing. Slowly. Painfully. But doin er. LOL good luck :D
-
move more, yes! I have the fitbit and often find myself dancing around the house, just to get moving.
-
Water. Coffee. Gum. Brushing your teeth. Exercise. those are my sanity on super hungry days!
-
So - I would recommend checking out SCIfit ((http://scitotalfitness.com/)) her workouts kick butt and are all upper body - you can do leg moves with it if you desire (she has some with as well). She does weights AND cardio and it's a fantastic workout. There are also a LOT of things you can do with your arms at the gym…

I buy more skirts than pants, and I take all my bottoms to be tailored. I can tailor MULTIPLE items for less than it costs to buy 1 new. I do this until my tailor looks at me and says "We are done with this one" (meaning she can't really take it in any more for a cheap cost and keep it's shape looking nice without it being…

Keep your chin up and do what you can do when you can do it. Push yourself as much as you can. Unfortunately when it comes down to disability - while others can be wonderfully supportive, our journeys really are our own. I think counseling is a great suggestion. Meetup groups are good ways to socialize. Find activities you…

Most of mine are driving or parking related, many have been mentioned. The twits that like to zip up the bus lane or merge lane then rip in front of you. People parking in no park zones. WORSE in disabled stalls without the damn card (and who then excuse their behavior when I smash their windows out with my cane ** not…
