It takes into account BMR as well. BMR is NOT in the adjustment figure. The adjustment is just calories burned outside your TDEE.

I can lose a whole kg of water in the space of an hour in the morning. It makes no sense to me either.

For the first two weeks or so, you pretty much poop out lots of stuff. It will subside.

Yes, it does to me each morning for some reason. Even when I get up at 6am, it says that I am + 100 calories for the day. Annoying.

I suggest taking some classes so you are familier with some of the movements required for weights. Try taking a Body Pump class or even Pilates.

Yes there is a glitch in the system that others have had. It should never let you eat below 1200 calories per day assuming you are female.

1500 is NOT maintenance for a male. It is hardly even enough for a male to live on. It isn't even maintance for most females who are active (unless you are really short and petite)

Why would MFP EVER recommend 1200 calories to a male ???? It must have been an error and the 1500 might be to correct it. But it is STILL too low.

The Flex is not designed for bike riding. You will get some weird results there. Flex works by detecting your body motion for walking. I can see how a bike would confuse it.

Also how are you measuring your exercise calories ? Do you have a pedometer or heart rate monitor ?
