On the other hand my wife has been extremely supportive of my now three plus year weight loss journey.

I can prepare for the weight. I can't prepare for going from 700 feet elevation to starting at 7500 feet and going up to 13000.

Hi Larro!!!! Missed you.

Glad you have support. I didn't. My mother died six years ago but for twenty years she made it plain that my weight issues disgusted her. Dad just pointed out over and over his consistent weight - until he lost some ipon retirement and then he obsessed over that. And most of my eating issues were stuffing feelings about…

Getting ready with hiking with weight in the pack but making weight is going to be a real challenge. I'm going to travel out regardless even if I spend the week at the training center.

Long hike with heavy pack- trying to prepare for the BSA high adventure base at Philmont.

Nope. Nothing. Had my flu shot.

Traveling for work. Makes it a challenge to eat well and to exercise. Doing semi ok with both. Got to visit mom today. Well went by her cemetery. It's about a four hour drive from where I live so when I am near I try to stop. She was very concerned about my weight. Showing off to her the 140 lbs gone.

not this time

Have you considered that perhaps you are half bulimic? ;) (I have the binging part down I just don't do the purging. )
-
Nope. Got my flu shot which seems to have helped so far

I don't know but once this morphed more into a "this was my intense workout" thread a mmm d less of a social thread several of the posters from that time drifted off.

Sorry for the late responses. I've been really busy getting the new practice going after officially quitting my job December 14. It's been a longer slog than I thought but the technology is almost finished. I'm doing client work and have much to catch up on. And our busiest time of the year is starting niw and will run for…

Inputs matter more.

Just post and follow along. It's not a formal group

Complete the computer setup for my new practice and still take time for a needed hour plus walk.

I changed my work stress. On 12/14 I quit. I was tired of dealing with the owner who was supposed to retire and I was taking over. After six years and still no contract, no transition plan, and then him telling me his needs were most important (after he renewed a lease we couldn't afford to satisfy his ego) snandd with him…

Eating different combinations of foods isn't going to"speed up" your metabolism.

Just post. There is no formal "joining"

Quit my job yesterday. I've been working like crazy for a month getting ready to do just that. As a licensed professional I am moving my practice from the firm where I was and am starting my own thing. For now I am going to work from home. So I have not had much workout time for several weeks although I did 8 miles…

When you have logged you have recorded huge amounts of food. So don't try to fool yourself. Log everything and just start sticking with it. Yiu are on step 1 and you're asking about step 15. At 500 lbs you are not eating any 1100 calories a day. You are eating 4000+
-
Wow. That's goooood too. Thanks!
-
Oh that's gooood!!! :)
-
Don't keep as much food around. Also the dosage may need to be adjusted but you're already at a fairly low dosage. Sometimes the time of day you take it can matter.

Commitment can only come from within. You've been playing at this for quite awhile. There is no magic answer, no easy solution, no way someone else can motivate you. You have to want it for you - no excuses. This will sound harsh but I dropped our connection because your unwillingness to make any significant change was…

I like that process very much

You will shake it soon enough. Then in what feels like about two days you will be staring at 60.

Deer season here. Much of my workout for now is hiking in and out of the stand.
