I have the Fitbit One and love it...seems to be very accurate counting steps for me so far!! And I try to only eat back 1/2 my calories just in case it's off a little

Broccoli, mushrooms & liver...yuck!!!

I don't even eat pizza (lactose intolerant, can't stomach the cheese most of the time) but even I now want pizza for dinner!!! Sounds much better than the grilled chicken & spinach I have waiting for me at home...

I am a regular red wine drinker, always have been. I cut back substantially when I first started my weight loss journey, from a bottle of wine a night to 1-2 glasses a night. I'm now at the point where I can go without all week & allow myself a couple glasses on Friday night without regret. I don't think I will ever quit…

Just turned 45...new at this with 10 lbs lost & 70 left to go!!

Just turned 45 and still new at this. I've lost 10.6 lbs since Feb. 16th. I log everything & try to exercise 3-4 times a week, my diary is open if anyone wants to check it out & I am open to accepting new friends

I asked this same question a little while back. The response I got was that if you are doing a hard workout, you might want to eat carbs beforehand to fuel your workout. If you are going in for a quick, easy workout then better to fast & eat afterwards. Another poster suggested eating a high carb meal the night before.…

I don't believe in the whole "detox" thing but the Yogi Detox Tea is really yummy by itself. Someone had some here at work one day so I tried it, bought some myself just to switch it up from plain old green tea everyday. I also do the lemon & hot water thing most mornings, starts the day off great

Down .6 lbs this weigh in...working on controlling my sodium intake & weighing/measuring everything that goes in. Thanks for the advice everyone

I took Topamax a couple years ago, lost about 60 lbs in 4 months. Everything I put in my mouth tasted like sawdust, I literally survived on grilled chicken, rice & water for the entire time. Had to drink several Ensure drinks every day just to ward off malnutrition. I got terrible headaches, was irritable to the point my…

I have been using the Fitbit One since last spring and I love it. Really want the Charge HR though so that will be my next splurge purchase!! It really does make me move more, love watching the steps add up

Cannot wait for the snow & ice to melt here, love driving into town with my Boxer boy to take a nice long walk (we live on a busy highway so no walking straight from the house).
-
Would love to have more active friends, love the support!!!

OMG, thank you so much for the sodium comments!! Going back & looking at past logged days, I realized I have omitted entries. Like the Montreal Steak Seasoning that I coat my grilled chicken with (that I eat every day, sometimes 2x a day), or the salt I sprinkle on my boiled egg EVERY day. Just in seasoning my food, I have…

Thank you, I will grab a banana & save breakfast for after workout

I actually tried setting it to 2lbs a week, but it keeps changing to 1.5lbs...maybe I will try 1 lb and see how that works. That's about all I'm losing at this point anyways!!
-
Both!! Working out at home means I can get up bright & early to burn a few calories before getting ready for work, and I have a nice set up with weights, treadclimber & treadmill. I go to the gym to take classes or to work out with friends after work.

I created my own recipe for the chop suey, that was incredibly easy & now I have the right amounts of sodium etc. I'll make sure to do that for now on so that I am logging everything correctly. Thanks!!
-
I will look at that, I chose an entry from the database so maybe I need to go in and create my own entry so that I know the measurements are accurate.

Wait, DOMS can cause weight fluctuations as well? Sorry, still new to all of this (I had to google DOMS). I was in excruciating pain on Tuesday & Wednesday from a Bootcamp class Monday night, I could barely walk or stand. Could that have caused some of the gain I experienced?
-
Yes, I have a scale & use it to weigh meats & veggies whenever possible. Other times I am using a measuring cup.
-
Yes, I would love more friends in here...the more support the better ;)
-
Weighed again this morning & I'm back to Monday's weight plus 6 oz. So I guess maybe I will try weighing every day for awhile & see just how much it fluctuates. That way the big changes won't be such a shocker.
-
Thank you, I am going to chalk it up to water weight & hope for a better weigh in next time!!
-
I want to keep it as simple as possible so would rather stick with doing it through MFP. I wasn't sure if I needed to change my activity level with my increased activity, so thank you for clarifying that for me!
-
Thanks for the input!!
-
I use a fitbit and generally get anywhere from 2500-4000 steps daily, before exercise
-
Main reason I ask is because I want to make sure I am getting enough calories. I'm set for 1200 calories a day right now, doesn't seem like it's enough & I am often hungry :\
-
Deff not 7000 calories over, I am under almost every day. My sodium is always way under, and I don't add salt to anything. And I've had a complete hysterectomy so the TOM is not a factor (thank goodness).
-
Thank you, I hope that's it...I can deal with water retention, I can't deal with working so hard & getting negative results!!
