I'll give it a "shot" (see what I did there?? :D ) Goal for the remainder of May - AF from 5pm Sunday night to 6pm Friday night. And I will decrease drinking over the weekend. I'm hoping this will help me increase performance of my early morning workouts before the workday starts, better sleep!!

Sigh...I've joined so may of these, one of these days I will actually stick to it. I have actually gained weight over the last couple months due to alcohol & it's frustrating. I know I would feel better without it, hell I was sober for almost 10 years at one point. Going to try to follow this thread & hopefully get more…

In for October :) I tried this back in the spring and made it 5 weeks. Summer came & I've put almost 20 lbs on, mostly from booze. Whiskey & red wine have not been my friends over the last few months. My first week may be touch & go, I have a friend coming to visit for 7 days and I'm sure there will be cocktails. So maybe…

I'm in on Oct 1st if you are doing another month!!

So, an update...I finally got around to contacting Fitbit. After chatting for a bit & finding out my unit is no longer under warrantee, they offered me a 25% discount. I told them I cannot afford to purchase anything new at this time and they somehow, miraculously (LOL) found that I am a long time customer and offered me a…

Thank you, I will try giving Fitbit a call

Checking in from the blizzardy Northeast, haha!! Still sober, handling it pretty well I'm happy to say!! Maybe not so well when I'm digging out of my driveway tomorrow morning but that's another day, right?? LOL

That I wish I had worked out today so I could eat more meatloaf, mmmm it was good!!!

I would like to add that as my Dr increased my dosage, I started to experience the "pins & needles" feelings in my fingers and feet. Easily controlled by exercise for me, seemed to disappear with just 20-30 minutes on the treadmill in my case which obviously helped my weight loss. Not sure if this is the norm but this was…

I got sober back in 1997, managed to stay that way for 7 years until a major life shift (divorce, major move & job change). I've been on & off ever since and can see at times that it does affect my life and especially affects my weight loss. Time to get my butt in gear and straighten myself out!!! Thanks for the welcome &…

Hey all, hope it's not too late to join!! I actually jumped on the wagon last Sunday, so I'm 7 days in right now. I won't be taking a hall pass, I'm kind of hoping this sticks for me. I know that I definitely have a problem with drinking; no single glass of wine or sip of whiskey here, it's drink the bottle until it's gone…

I took this several years ago with mixed results...my Dr. prescribed it as a weight loss medication, worked like a charm. Killed my appetite (everything tasted like metal, yuck) and I lost more than 60 lbs in less than 6 months. Problem is I was constantly in a fog (almost like I was constantly buzzed), he actually had to…

I always find that I have a sweet craving mid afternoon...a square of Ghirardelli Intense Dark and I am good to go. A sweet treat for me and still plenty of room for all of that boring "good" stuff, haha!!! Good luck :)

I do as mentioned above...put recipe in mfp, weigh finished product (minus pot or dish)...if it weighs 200 grams then put 200 servings. If I eat 20 grams then I log 20 servings...simple ;) Of course there are always going to be small variations I can't control but that's life, right??

Always looking for active friends :-)

I don't play this but my 17 year old daughter does...music to my ears when she comes downstairs & says "Mommy, do you want to go for a walk with me?". I know she just wants company while she hunts, but any extra time spent with her & extra steps for me is a plus :)

5'4" starting out at 220, currently 174, goal weight 140...I may re-evaluate when I get to 140 to see if I want to lose more but I looked pretty healthy when I was younger and around 135-140 (I'm 46 years old now).

Gained about 4 lbs this last weekend, lots of good drink & rich food for Memorial Day weekend...back down 3 lbs already so not sweating it too much ;)

I toss very lightly with olive oil, sprinkle with cracked black pepper & garlic powder and throw on the grill...yummy!!

At least 2x a day, usually chicken or fish with a rare steak thrown in once in a blue moon :p

I was naughty for breakfast & gave in to my daughters request for McDonalds for breakfast, but managed to keep it under 500 calories for a breakfast sandwich & coffee. She cooked me a yummy dinner of grilled chicken & tossed salad though to make up for it, even combined with a couple glasses of wine I was able to keep my…

I hit only 7900 on Saturday and even less on Sunday...I see some lawn mowing in my future over the next few days (push mower) so maybe I can up those numbers a bit :s
-
I would love to join, don't know how all of you are getting so many steps in while working desk jobs!! I work in an office & barely hit 5k steps a day most week days :s
-
Yes you can...I've lost 40 pounds so far by eating at a deficit, with only some occasional walking  Feel free to add me as a friend!!
-
Butt & boobs (not upset, plenty more where that came from) and waist...from past experience, my thunder thighs are always the last to go :D
-
I have a fitbit one which has been great for my walking activity but is horrible lately at syncing with my phone. As I become more active with the warmer spring weather, I am finding it harder to find the correct mfp exercise entries to log my activities... so am on the lookout for an alternative with an hr monitor. A…
