  • Put on a pair of size 10 shorts my mom gave me several years ago. They fit better than they ever have, and I have no muffin top!
  • Thanks for the tips, everyone! I will incorporate more of those into my routine. No gym until we move to a new area. Thankfully, dips and such can be done at home....and yes...dips suck. Lol Thanks for the tips!
  • I'm following my physician/nutritionist's advice as far as my diet goes. I am looking for exercises I can incorporate into my routine.
  • Thanks for this! I will start doing those as well as my typical routine.
  • I'm still 36 lbs from my goal. My BMR is 1572. So, I'm taking in the 1100-1300 a day. I take in at least o2 grams of protein a day, and many times Im over 100g of protein. I'm only 5'3", but I have a bigger frame (not petite). I was extremely out of shape when I started my journey. My nutritionist has helped me track my…
  • Thanks! I have been consuming 1100-1300 calories a day. I walk 4-5 miles a day, and I do body weight exercises 20 minutes each day through my Sworkit app. I have lost 20 lbs in the past 2 months, with 17 of that being fat. I have noticed that my arms have slimmed down, and parts of them are toning up. I am going to check…
  • I have 3 kiddos - 6, 4, and 3. I use my Sworkit app for body weight exercises, and I workout in my closet. Lol I also take the kiddos out for a walk each morning and evening, weather permitting. When the weather sucks, I hope on the stationary bike for 30 minutes while watching a show on Netflix.
  • Bless your soul! Fair food is my favorite!!
  • Basically - food that can be found at any grocery store. No need to go to specialty stores or whole foods stores, etc. Hope that helps!
  • I had 4 ounces of leftover grilled chicken from last night, 1/2 cup of cucumber, and half of a gala apple. Pretty tasty.
  • OMG, y'all! My feet, ankles, calves, thighs, and Achilles are noticeable and defined!!!! OMG! So long cankles!
  • Lol I have real food in my diary. It's open to the public. No powdered protein. No diet bread. I do use the Nature's Own Double Fiber wheat, which is quite tasty. I eat 1100-1300 calories a day.
  • You can add me. I'm a 35 year old SAHM of 3. I homeschool, and I have lost 20.5 lbs in the past 2 ish months. Sure, I have 50 lbs left to go, but I am down 10% of my body weight. You can do it! Have you tried the Sworkit app? It's great for beginners for body weight exercises. I also use a FitBit to track my steps and try…
  • For the first time ever, I didn't need to even pull my shorts down once while walking today. So glad not to get the frontal wedgie in shorts on my walks!!
  • Shark week is the worst. I ended up getting sick on top of it this month. Took it as a sign to take a break and let my body rest for a day. Typically, I just power through. Lots of water, healthy eating, and walk it out. If it's really bad, I take a few ibuprofen. Heating pads help, too. I also have a guilty pleasure…
  • Agreed. My nutritionist recommended that I take my multivitamin along with 1000mg of Calcium, 400mg of Magnesium, and 1000mg of fish oil (twice a day). She recommends that for everyone along with some B supplement that I can't remember, but it was already included in my multivitamin.
  • Haha! My husband and I have the same saying - "Black, like my soul." I love the white chocolate mocha, too. It's a weakness. Maybe one of their teas or the refresher beverages? The refresher beverages appear to be under 200 calories. Now, I want Starbucks. Lol
  • I have ADD, and I'm not sure it factors into my weight issues. Some of my low self-esteem associated with ADD hasn't helped. Perhaps getting into a routine could help? I plan and log my entire day's worth of meals and don't deviate (1100-1300 calories with a lot of protein). Then, I track my steps with my Fitbit (shooting…
  • I would get a fresh bottle and throw out the expired ones. Nausea happens with multivitamins for a lot of people. Try taking it with food. I use New Chapter's Every Woman's Daily multi, and I break it in half - taking half in the morning and half at night. It can be taken on an empty stomach, and has never caused me…
  • I have the Alta. It doesn't have GPS, and it will not track your steps if you are pushing a cart or a stroller...etc. That's pretty frustrating. Otherwise, I really like it. I have the Note 5, and sure it tracks steps and has many apps that will track your run/walk with GPS, I find it frustrating to have to carry on my…
  • My NSV - been sick for 3 days. Managed to stick to my calories, and I even kept up my steps these past 2 days. It was super hard sticking to my calories and eating right when I wasn't hungry, couldn't taste anything, couldn't smell anything, and only wanted to carb load....but I did it. I got back on track today and ate…
  • SW - 202.8 lbs CW - 185.5 lbs TW - 140-145 lbs (I would even be okay with 150)
  • I have 2 mini goals. My first is to look amazing in a ballgown for my husband's final Marine Corps Ball before he retires next year. That is in November. Then, my husband and I are taking a cruise in June. I want to feel comfortable in a bathing suit and not feel self-conscious.
  • To the OP - I have lost 17 lbs in the past 6 weeks due to counting calories and exercise. I eat a lot of protein, and I cut out refined sugars and flour, along with hydrogenated oils, corn syrup, and artificial ingredients. I also walk 4-5 miles a day and do weight-bearing exercises for 10-20 minutes with the Sworkit app.…
  • The only red meat I eat is pork. Beef makes my gallbladder act up. I mainly eat chicken, fish, and turkey. I do shredded chicken for tacos, chili, and soup. I also use cut up boneless skinless chicken for my zucchini spaghetti instead of ground meat. You can also do fish tacos. Grilling provides good opportunities. You can…
  • Skype my dad yesterday. He hasn't seen me since April, and the first thing he said was, "You look great!" Its great to hear it from people who haven't seen you in a while. Also, my face had angles in the Webcam and didn't look round and puffy!
  • I have 3 kids, and I stay at home and homeschool them. I take my kiddos on a walk in the mornings or evenings, and I let them push the cart at the store so my Fitbit will still track my steps. I do a LOT of laps through the house some days. A treadmill might be a good investment if you absolutely can't get out of the…
  • My size 12 skinny jeans fit today with no overhang!!
  • My husband got me some Brooks Ravens 5's last year. They were my most favorite running shoe. So comfortable, and the shock absorbers don't go out quickly. It's time for a new pair, though. I also have a problem with overpronation.
