Wrist Pain and Lifting
What am I doing wrong? We started a new workout plan two weeks ago. This past Monday, we did bent over barbell rows, which we do Mondays and Thursdays, followed by barbell curls. Thursday, I had so much pain in the outer part of my right wrist that I could not close my last 2 fingers around the bar and lift without pain.…

Sudden Loss While on Lifting Break
I finished up on Saturday with a workout program I have been doing for 12 weeks. After feeling a sharp pain during lat raises that has set my shoulder and neck on fire for about 5 days now, I decided to take a week off between programs to recover. Between that and a cortisone shot in my knee Monday, I need to heal. Anyway.…

Spironolactone
Hello. My doctor just put me on spironolactone in conjunction with a BCP last week to help with cystic acne, hair loss, and my testosterone rage. Has anyone here had any experience with this medication? I can't really say I'm noticing a difference, but I have only been on it for a few days.

Wraps or Gloves?
I'm so irritated. Shrug day today, and I can't get a good enough grip on the bar to shrug. The weight isn't a problem. The bar just rolls right out of my hands with the over/over grip. I was told not to do over/under because it works a different muscle group. I had to back down the weight to keep the bar from rolling, and…

Ganglion/Parameniscal Cyst
After an MRI on Friday, I found out that I have a cyst in the medial region on my right knee, which is what had been causing so much pain. Thankfully, not a tear. My doctor is referring me for an ortho consult. Has anyone had this? Did you have surgery or needle aspiration? Recovery time? I just don't want to be out of the…

Lifting Program Suggestions
I am currently starting week 8 of Jim Stoppani's Shortcut to Size lifting program. It's a 4 day/week split program, and I am hooked. I absolutely love lifting! Problem is, I only have 4 weeks left on this program. So, I am looking for more suggestions that are similar. Do you guys have any that you really enjoy? I need…

Spironolactone
I am a 35 year old mom of 3 with PCOS. I have lose roughly 40-45 lbs since June of last year and started Jim Stoppani's Shortcut to Size lifting program 6 weeks ago. My doctor just prescribed me Loestrin FE and spironolactone for the cystic acne that has started developing, the mood swings, and the hair loss that has…

Tendonitis and Lifting
My husband and I started a lifting program 5 weeks ago. It's from Jim Stoppani - Shortcut to Size. It's a 4 day a week split program. I felt really great the first 4 weeks of the program and have been seeing results. We are finishing up week 5, and now there is a problem. My left elbow started aching on Tuesday and then…

Lifting/Nutrition Question
No Idea which forum to post this in, so I'm putting it here. I have lost 40 lbs since June. My dietician put me on 1100-1300 calories a day (I'm a chick), with 100g of lean protein making up my diet each day. It's been great for me. I eat 5 times a day. So, now that I have dropped 40 lbs, I have picked up the lifting bug.…

Muscle Soreness Help
So, I worked my legs hard (for me, apparently) on Saturday. Yesterday, I was sore, but by the end of the day, I could barely sit or walk down the stairs because of muscle soreness. This morning, it's even worse, and I'm 2 lbs heavier on the scale than I was yesterday. I get that there is fluid retention and that there is…

Flabby Saggy Swingy Arms
Okay, I need help. What are the best and easiest exercises for working these triceps? I need something I can do at home - with dumb bells if necessary. I can see definition in my biceps and shoulders, but my triceps still look gross. I just want to tone them up so they don't swing around and look like this. Thanks!

The Dreaded Plateau
I have lost 15 lbs in the past 5 weeks, but now I am not losing any weight. I have not changed anything except increasing the amount and intensity of my workout routine. I still keep my calories between 1100 and 1300. I eat 92+ grams of protein a day. I walk 4-5 miles a day, but sometimes I also run a mile of that. I have…

SWORKIT App?
I was just introduced to this app today, and I think I like it. I just did a 5 minute total about workout, and it was kind of challenging for a beginner like me. It even connects to MFP. Has anyone else tried it? What are your thoughts?

Restaurants and Special Requests
Hardest thing ever for me. My husband and I finally got a kid-free night last night and went out to a bistro for trivia night with friends. I was going to eat before we went to avoid any issues, but my husband remembered they had salads when he went two weeks ago. So, we went...and they had changed the menu. Of course.…

Oh the Changes!!
Y'all, I woke up this morning 2 more lbs down (12.5 total), and I felt a lat muscle and a rib! I have never felt definition in my back before, and certainly never a rib from that angle! This is so exciting!! I still have about 40 pounds to go, but this is the most encouraged I have ever felt on this journey!

Hello
Hey everyone. My name is Ashley, and while this isn't my first weight loss attempt, it's the first time I have worked with a nutritionist to help me lose weight. I am 34 years old and mother to three amazing kiddos. I started eating clean and healthy 3 and a half weeks ago in conjunction with taking 10k+ steps a day and…
