I was able to sit halfway up before having to use my arms to push me up with my sit-ups this morning! I could barely get my head off the floor last week...and definitely not my shoulders!!

Just an update. I worry too much. Down another 1.5 lbs this morning out of nowhere. Thanks for the support, everyone!

I want to lose another 40-45 lbs. I am guessing the fast drop was just part of my dropping calories and eating healthy. I was down half a pound this morning, so I guess things are moving in the right direction. I started drinking more water again. I found this sparkling raspberry lime water from Deer Park. No added sugar,…

You look amazing! They can stuff it. You look healthy. Your eyes do not have a sunken appearance or dark circles. Your skin is a healthy pink and does not look pale/jaundiced. Your face is filled out, as are your arms. No prominent bones. People can be mean and say things out of false concern, in an effort to make…

I didn't even consider my period coming up in a week...or the water retention. Stupid hormones. I do not eat back my calories. My BMR is about 1600, and my dietician told me to eat between 1100-1300 calories for weight loss. I have a considerable amount of weight to lose. I am down 15, but I have about 40-45 lbs left to…

Thanks for this. I log everything and scan from the barcode. While I don't weigh my food, I do use measuring cups for things like my carbs. I do the "deck of cards" size portions for my meats. I absolutely log my oils and fats. No cheat days. I don't eat back my exercise calories. I just weighed in with my…

Silly one, but - stepping out if the shower and being able to wrap a towel around my body and secure it without it gapping open because of my protruding belly. I even am able to see my toes and the tops of my legs when I look down.

I usually have a heavy dinner and a lighter lunch and breakfast. I also have a small snack after breakfast and after lunch.

Mine is open, too. It looks a little boring and repetitve, and some of the dinners are like chicken, marinara, and zucchini noodles...or shredded chicken chili. So, if you see a bunch of ingredients and it doesn't make sense, that's what those are. :) I have been doing this for about 5 weeks, and I am down 15 lbs.

I just hit this one a couple of weeks ago! It feels so good!!

That sounds tasty! I have been throwing cherries and strawberries in mine. Lol

I wish mine were low calorie, but I have done a fruit dip with vanilla greek yogurt and sweetened condensed milk. I'm sure you could do it with honey or so.something else. Then, there is the loaded baked potato dip with plain greek yogurt, ranch packet, real bacon bits (you can also find the turkey bacon ones), chives, and…

Sorry. I misread the post. I'm doing metabolic eating. So, I eat about every 3 hours....5 times a day. For my main meals, half my plate is filled with non-starchy veggies. Then, 1/2 cup is devoted to a complex carb. Another 4-6 ounces is lean protein, and about a tbsp or so of fats. I then have a 100-200 calorie snack…

For snacks I do a small gala apple with a circle of Babybel cheese, quaker rice cake (apple cinnamon or chocolate) with a little sunbutter (or PB), half cup greek yogurt and strawberries, a Lara Bar (Some have more calories than others, but they are made with nutritious ingredients. I like the apple pie one and the…

I us avocado oil or olive oil. I have started mixing one or the other with a bit of safflower oil when grilled or sautéing.

I can see that V shaped notch at the base of my throat, and my collarbone is starting to show. Yay!
-
I do this. It absolutely helps me stay focused and on track with my goals. If I have to change anything, it's just a quick thing here or there.

I used to be against it, but after giving it a LOT of thought, I will be doing it for both my daughters. Even if my girls were to remain virgins until they married, unless they too married virgins there is still the possibility of them getting HPV and then cervical cancer. I don't want them to have that risk. So, I plan to…

I usually try to look at the menu ahead of time, but this place didn't have one. Apparently, they change their menu every couple of weeks. High turnover rate among the staff, too. At least the tuna was outstanding...even without the sauce and crust. Lol Thankfully, most of the larger chain restaurants have their menus and…

Mixing a handful with about a half cup of vanilla Greek yogurt is a great snack!

For those asking about why I call it "crap..." Many sauces are loaded with processed things, including sugar, which I am trying to avoid as a prediabetic. I also lumped in mashed potatoes as they are high in calories and are quite starchy compared to ordering additional squash. Anyway. Thanks to everyone for the advice a…

I just found out I have PCOS. I am also prediabetic. I have been able to lose 10 lbs in the past 3 and a half weeks by eating healthy, reducing my calories, and walking 10k+ steps 5-6 days a week. My doc didnt want to put me on Metformin, but you might want to talk to your doc about it. Good luck to you!
-
I'm right there with you! I'm just barely over the cut off for prediabetes. So, I am trying to get back to healthy before I go too far to the other end. Good luck to you!

I am so excited for this info! Thank you! Just started running today. Total beginner, but my husband signed us up for a Spartan race in April. We plan to do the trifecta this year. I didn't have shin splints today, which made me happy.
