I'm a huge fan! I stir in 0 calorie sweetener or top with fruit or crunchy things - cereal, nuts, Graham crackers, chocolate chips, a few crushed cookies....delicious! I use it for savory options, too. Think dips, sauces and spreads instead of sour cream.

Premade grocery store guac is disgusting. Fresh guac is amazing!

Yes, give yourself some time! Mine was vaginal instead of abdominal so I had significantly less trauma. It still took me about 9 months. The twinges, the pains, the bloat and mood swings all eventually leveled out.

I eat out 2 to 3 meals a week at locally owned restaurants so there's no nutritional information. Some of my go-to choices: - A bowl of non cream-based soup and a veggie side - salads, sub salsa, lemon juice or vinegar for dressing if there aren't lower calorie options - sandwich, sub salad or veggies for fries or chips. -…

I work in the crash test industry and I found this article interesting. It does have many truths related to crash testing and…

How long ago was your hysterectomy? You said 'recently', but didn't specify. I had mine about a year and a half ago. I didn't feel back to normal until about 8-9 months post surgery. It's major surgery and your body needs time to adjust. If you haven't found it, hystersisters.com is a good resource.

Just throwing this out for considerstion, not my opinion... I identify as a tall slender female (ha!). Should restaurants have seating which prevents my knees from hitting the underside of a table? Should bar stools always have padding since I don't have much of my own? Should the distance between chairs be closer so I can…

They say it's the thought that counts and I think you're an *kitten* 😁😁😁

I don't take water with me, but I pre-plan water stops at drinking fountains. Typically, I don't stop for runs under 10 - 12 miles unless it's very hot. On longer runs I make sure I start drinking around 6 or 7 miles to ensure hydration through the whole run. I've also 'planted' water bottles along my route when fountains…

When the weather is warmer I run almost everyday. Long runs are 9-11 miles, shortest is about 5 miles.

I am soooooo confused by this 😂🤣

Look them in the eye and take a delicious giant bite of whatever they told me was 'bad'. I'm snarky like that!

Welcome! Glad you found us 😁

I can relate! I ate half a 14" pizza last night along with too much wine 😒 Today the scale is up a bit, but I know it's mostly water weight. I'll balance with some lower calorie days and/or additional exercise for the next few days.

Nice job! It's amazing what we can learn when we intentionally seek knowledge.

I've lost and have been in maintenance for about 6 months. I have never considered macros, only calories. Can anyone link to the pyramid chart with calories, macros, timing, etc... for OP?
-
I had to Google it. Here's a chart that correlates pace to levels.

Best guess-timate is 400 calories, but there is no way to know without amounts of chicken, size of the wrap, how much sauce, etc....

I just came off a course of steroids and was STARVING! It really was a challenge to stay within my calorie allowance. I found drinking tea or coffee helped with the hunger pangs. I had to switch to decaf though because I was bouncing off the walls lol

Not sure of your stats, but here is a general scenario. If you are reducing your calories by 500 each day then I would not expect to see a loss. 500 * 4 = 2000 but a pound is 3500. Also, weight loss is not linear - our weights fluctuate through out the day and day to day. This is a journey and not a quick fix. How long did…

I don't have 'cheat' meals. I have higher calorie meals that I balance with lower calorie meals and exercise.
-
I don't avoid sweets, but I limit them. A few of my options: -Greek yogurt, maybe topped with crunchy cereal, a crumbled cookie or fruit - old fashioned oatmeal with brown sugar - Low calorie wrap or sandwich flat smeared with sweetened cream cheese or goat cheese, maybe with a topping like cereal, nuts, fruit, PB2,…

Welcome, add me!

I try to account for a big meal throughout the week by reducing daily intake by 100-200 calories or I add in some extra exercise. This gives me some extra cushion for social eating. I also make sure I don't go to a social event hungry. Having a lower calorie snack before helps me make better choices since I'm not starving.

I'm so glad you're asking for help! I never learned how to run prior to joining the military and it seemed like torture. It wasn't until I got out that I realized there's a methodology for 'easier' running. 30 years later I now run farther and faster than I did while I was in. Best of luck to you!
