Don't listen to this ^^^^. Running alone or with a group is your own preference. I'm a solo runner and know many others that do the same. I excel at it, and being DOOMED was never an option. I also know runners who prefer a running partner or group. It's just your preference. I suggest: Run slower to start, slower than you…

I agree layered clothing with zippers and/or vents is best. Yesterday in 18° with light wind and snow I wore a thin pair of running tights and looser running pants, turtleneck thermal, long sleeve thermal, light fleece, gloves, wool socks, knit hat. About 10 minutes in the fleece got unzipped. I was ready to take it off…

I'll start.... I learned during yesterday's run that the road edge has significantly fewer icy patches than the sidewalk.

Woo hoo! Keep it up!

- Fat free plain Greek yogurt with splenda and dry crunchy cereal - 1 or 2 Kit Kat miniatures - goat cheese and topping of choice (sweet or savory) spread on low carb wrap - roasted root veggies - love these! - small portion of seasoned sticky rice, Asian veggies topped with a soft cooked egg and maybe some nori.

I'm 5'6.5" and just got done with a cut. I'm at about 128 and feel great at this weight. Next step is a long recomp.

You. Are. A. Runner. Embrace it! Consider this: There is always someone that can run faster or farther, regardless of your pace of distance. There is someone out there right now wishing they could run as well as you. You are not an embarrassment, you are an inspiration!

Welcome! Are you still here????

I'm 46 and more fit today than I was at 25 as a military veteran. In some ways I'm actually more fit now than when I was active duty. You can do this!

(Bringing this back on topic) This post made me genuinely happy! It takes courage and strength to ask for help. Accepting the help can be monumentous. You rocked it! Nice job

I'm exact opposite...love road running and dread the treadmill. I use the treadmill when I'm traveling and every step is a challenge. Ironically, those challenging steps have made my road runs better.

Welcome!

I'm going to try this, maybe with a few substitutions of my own: http://www.itscheatdayeveryday.com/skinny-pecan-pumpkin-pie-bars/

What is your goal weight?
-
7 pounds after a high sodium meal with a few adult beverages in combination with DOMS. Took a week to settle back down.
-
It depends on your definition of healthy and tasty. If I was going for lower calorie I would start with fresh green beans, onions and mushrooms roasted at a high temp to bring out some flavor. (Different roasting times - green beans a few minutes, mushrooms more, onions longest) For the creamy portion use a combination fat…

Welcome! I am not familiar with Toro's so I would use another familiar restaurant's entries and estimate portions on the high side. If you let us know what you ate (or plan to eat) we can help you more.

Hi! Add me - I'm active on my newsfeed everyday.

Add me! Having a group of active supportive friends is helpful!

I pack my breakfast and lunch everyday with very simple items I can quickly grab: Oatmeal Greek yogurt Canned soup Tuna pouches Hard boiled eggs Fiber or cereal bars Apple Banana Simple leftovers Sandwiches I also have a stash in my vehicle and my desk in case I'm running short on time. For meals out I have pre-picked…

You're most likely to find pure matcha in larger Asian food sections and markets.
-
Matcha is very young green tea leaves ground into a fine powder. The Celestial probably contains some matcha, but is mostly standard mature green tea leaves.

5'6.5" High: 170ish Goal: original 145, modified to 135 Current: 128 lean and fit (I crushed those goals!) On my way to see what 125 looks like, but will probably come back up between 130-135.

I always take roasted veggies as a side. Which veggies vary, but I always include a variety of different colors - beets, brussel sprouts, carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash, cabbage, potatoes, parsnip, broccoli, cauliflower, etc... You can toss in cranberries and/or pecans if you want a more themed dish. I also…

Losing weight hasn't gotten me more attention from men, but different types of men give me attention now. I get hit on more by both older and younger men. I also get hit on more by creepers. The average Joe doesn't talk to me as much now. That's just my experience though.

Patience! This is a lifestyle marathon, not a sprint. You want to make sustainable changes you can maintain for life, not a quick fix you bounce in and out of. 3.3 pounds is great for a week's loss! Add several weeks together and you'll hit a 10 or 12 pound milestone soon. The alternative is you did not lose or gained this…

The way to hold it longer is to practice holding it longer lol Some hints that work for me... 1. Set the timer for your goal time and let it count backwards to zero intead of counting up to your time. 2. Do multiple sets and variations. Don't stop with trying to hold one plank for your longest time. Do that, then add sets…

Comparison is the theif of joy. You are a runner! Embrace it because so many others can't or won't.

I'm working on a 5 minute continuous forearm plank. I hit 4:05 a few days ago and was simply in awe of myself. Seriously...I just did that!?!?! I'm looking forward to accomplishing the 5 minute hold, hopefully by Thanksgiving.
