These all suddenly showed up this morning. Wonder if they'll take them away?

This might not be the best option, but I realized I was doing something very similar (except with a bowl of pimento cheese and a box of crackers). If I went way overboard, I wouldn't let myself go the next week. Then I knew, as my *kitten* was sitting home, bored, that all of my friends were having fun and I was alone…

In April I went to Europe for 10 days, in May to Denver for 4, and in June I was at the beach for a week with my friends. Each time I didn't log, but only endulged the good food that I couldn't get at home. So nothing special on the dinner menu? I got something "lighter." Enjoy the food, but don't eat an entire pizza…

That's an awesome time!! I do a real mile, too, but it takes me about 48min. Hoping to get under 40 by the end of the summer (and without stopping!).

It'll help tone, but it won't do all of the work itself. How vigorously are you swimming? I know that when I'm in the pool I see people "swimming laps" that are barely floating along. Not insinuating that's you, but I can't imagine how that would produce any real results.

Water weight and hormones. Cool your jets. It'll all come back off.

I was right at this place, too. I was so frustrated and ready to make that appointment, but decided I'd give it one more try. I lost about 20lbs with MFP in college, so this was where I went. After a successful first few weeks of JUST counting calories (no exercise) I bought a fitbit and I haven't looked back. Now, 44lbs…

I'm 5'2 and I'm down 44 lbs since January 2015 and ideally have about another 111 to go. Lofty goals. lol

When I first started I would pre-log dessert when I was logging my breakfast. It was something I wasn't willing to give up, so I structured the rest of my day around it. It often meant no chips at lunch or a little less of my starch at dinner or no other snacks during the day, but I felt like it was easier KNOWING I'd have…

My "goal" is 1,515, but I'll be swimming a mile this afternoon, so I'm going to end up eating about 1,770. But here is what I'll have today. Breakfast - 364 cal Honey Nut Chex - 53g 2% Milk - 1/2 c Banana - 113 g Lunch - 566 cal Chicken salad - 1/3 c Triscuits - 8 crackers Sargento Balanced Break (cashews, cranberries,…

I've completely cut out soda from my daily routine, but I do occasionally treat myself with a can or bottle at a meal or a party. For me it wasn't so much that I felt like it was bad for me, but I knew that water was better. So I spent about two weeks weaning myself off of the caffeine and now I've been completely free of…

I've become partial to Jack and Coke Zero. Jack and Diet Coke SUCKS, but there is very little taste difference (IMO) between Coke and Coke Zero after they've had a hearty dose of JD.

I'm down 40lbs (hoping to lose 155) and people haven't really noticed. My fiancé and a few friends who I've talked with have said something, but other than that I've heard nothing. Hoping that when I come back to school in August (hopefully) 25 lbs lighter than I am right now, SOMEONE will notice. I know it isn't all about…

My best friend's mom always bought the big muffins from Costco.

I'm nearly 40 lbs down and I'm still shopping. I know that it's something that keeps me motivated, so I'm not willing to give it up. I have a few pieces that I know I'll have tailored when they become unwearable, but some I know I'll just give up/give away to make room for smaller things. I'm not sure if it's in your…

I was one of those chunky pre-teens whose mother tried to control what I ate, so I was a sneaky eater. Chips, snack cakes, soda, candy bars... then graduated into pizza and fast food as a teenager. There were days I'd have dinner at a friend's house, then go home and have a second dinner. Mind you, there were a lot of…

Does pool etiquette fit in here, too? I swim every other day and typically the pool is barren when I get there and there are rarely people there to swim laps (I'm at the Y, so a lot of water aerobics, swim lessons, etc.), so they only keep three lanes for lap swimming permanently open. Yesterday there was a guy and his two…

I've lost 35+ and I feel like I've noticed changes everywhere but my stomach. The clothes are the real tell! Keep doing your thing!

I'm going to guess since she says it's "vintage," it likely came from a vintage store and not from a standard dress shop. You can't help what you fall in love with. OP - Since you're already at a very healthy weight, I'd go to your local gym and see what you can do to tone in addition to a reasonable weight loss goal. Best…

I hear the average human leg weighs about forty pounds. I could take care of that for you in about five minutes...

Thanks for all of the info!! My fiancé and I were talking about how we are in such a food rut, that we thought it would be a good way to switch some things up. I think I'm going to put it on my to do list for the summer!

I found the Pret to be my best option in Luton. Then I ate it staring at the Hotel Chocolat stand. *weeps*

I've set myself at sedentary (which isn't wholly true) which gives me a base of 1545. Then I eat back some of the exercise calories that fitbit adds in. Typically I'm somewhere between 1400-1900 per day. Anyone can feel free to friend me :-)

This. Thank you.

I was going for simplicity, but let me rephrase... Weight gain is often a symptom of PCOS because your body no longer uses insulin like it should. High levels of insulin cause you to produce more androgens than a woman would normally produce, and those androgens trigger weight gain. You could be eating the exact same…

Any symptoms of PCOS? I know that it can cause super rapid weight gain as well...

When you have a lot of weight to lose, it comes off much faster at first. You just have to be diligent about tracking every morsel that goes into your mouth. Calories in, calories out. I started at over 300lbs, and realized pretty quickly that I might not be eating a TON of food, what I was eating was incredibly high in…

I'm in the same boat. I have size 22 jeans and I'm 20lbs down, but I'm nowhere near a 20. I actually just needed to buy jeans and the pair (Yes, I just keep one pair. I'm a teacher and wear dresses and leggings 90% of the time.) that I had been wearing were becoming loose so SURELY, I might be able to get a 20. I realized…

But I was the same weight as shortntall1, yet she wore a 26/28 and I was in a 22! That's a big difference! I'd be SWIMMING in a 26/28!
