my personal trainers have been worth every single penny. When I first started my weight loss journey, I was 243 pounds (size 22/24) and would not have had the courage to step into a gym. I decided to hire one of the gym teachers at my school with whom I already had a good relationship. She accepted the challenge and we/I…

I'm on vacation in Vegas. Hit the fitness center treadmill yesterday morning and will be there tomorrow morning too. I plan to be there at least 2 other days -- in addition to all the walking this week!

I have the Charge HR. I love it. Watch-like band is comfortable. I use it to monitor step2, sleep, and heart rate during exercise.

i have a meal replacement protein shake each morning. I have the chocolate flavor and make it with 8 oz of 1% milk, 2 TBSP of PB2 and ice -- then zip it in the blender. It tastes just like a chocolate milk shake!

to tone legs -- squats, lunges, dead lifts, leg press

Totally awesome! Congratultions!

For me, I've controlled my environment by not bringing any trigger foods into the house. And, if there's something sweet that my husband wants, he'll buy it in a flavor or type that I don't care for.

For me, I find that having increased my protein and fat intake keeps me from being hungry.

Two kg is almost 4.5 pounds which averages close to 1 pound per week. I'd say you're on the right track.

i love my cotton bike shorts....wear them often, not just to work out!

Ya, my fiance likes Lane Bryant styles on me, and I have a LB credit card and am on their mailing list for coupons and specials. Earlier this year, I got their Livi Active hoodie and some workout pants to motivate me. I paid way, way less than their ridiculous retail price. [/quote] and take advantage of sales...I…

I've bought most of my workout clothing from Lane Bryant -- they are a bit on the pricey side, but I always look for coupons online (just do a google search) to bring that price down. I bought my bike shorts from Always for Me -- they are the ones that are used in the Biggest Loser show. Love them! Be careful buying things…

I've gone low carb and feel much better overall. I've cut out bread and pasta and don't miss them. I eat corn and potatoes (and sweet potatoes) sparingly. I generally don't miss them, LOL! All of my carbs now come from vegetable sources. Make sure you eat plenty of protein and fats....both of which will keep you from…

I keep my weekend routine fairly close to my weekdays. In the mornings for breakfast, I have a protein shake made with 1% milk and PB2 (powdered peanut butter). At lunch, I have a salad with 1 tbsp of oil and then balsamic vinegar. I also usually have 6-8 oz of chicken too. Then I have another 5-8 oz of protein at dinner…

this is generally me. I keep my environment free of trigger foods and I generally eat well most of the time. Picnics? Family gatherings? that's a whole nother world...I have so little self control when it is there....

headed to Vegas later this month. I've talked with my husband and let him know that I'm going to try for a middle of the road between very restrictive and eating everything in sight. I'm planning to bring my powdered protein and my small blender so that I can have that for breakfast every morning. We'll do some lunches and…

As a jew, it's tough to be in the minority during December. While I don't get offended if someone wishes me a Merry christmas (as my students do it all the time, LOL!), there is nothing about christmas (to non-christians) that marks it as a secular holiday. it is a religious holiday -- whether christians celebrate it that…

I LOVE it!!!! I actually use it mainly for the # of steps and the heart rate. For what I need, the # of steps is accurate enough. The heart rate monitor is usually spot-on. It's great motivation with the challenges through the phone app.

i gave up all fast food almost 2 years ago, although will have the occasional sandwich from Subway. Honestly, I don't miss it and for ME, it's absolutely not worth the calories, fat and sodium.

I take a thermogenic. When I first started it, I would get REALLY, really hot during exercise -- almost to the point of feeling faint. That problem went away after my body got used to it. You might want to consider upping your calories and making sure you're getting a decent amount of proteins and fats...those will be your…

As a meal replacement, you want a shake that has upwards of 20+ grams of protein. I buy my protein powder at the gym, mix it with ice and 8 oz of 1% milk and recently have added 2 Tbsps of PB2 (powdered peanut butter)...mix in a blender...Totally yummy and easily holds me until lunch.

go higher on the protein. When I'm working, I bring in stuff to make a salad (in my BAB -- Big *kitten* Bowl) and then also have 5-7 ounces of chicken thigh or breasts. Generally holds me from 11:00 to dinner.

i'm down almost 50 ;pounds. I'm still a "C" but have gone from a 44 band to a 40.

i'm on cymbalta (3 years now). Over the last 18 months I have lost almost 50 lbs.

i use a protein shake that I buy at the gym. Yes it's on the expensive side, but it is a great tool to help me reach my protein goal. It is meant as a meal replacement. I use the chocolate powder, mix it with 8 oz. of 1% milk and ice cubes and then zip it in the blender. It tastes JUST like a chocolate milkshake with that…

I'm a middle school science teacher in CT. Am SO looking forward to summer. I think I'm going to OD on exercise classes, LOL! here's my fitbit ID: https://www.fitbit.com/user/3G4B4V. Feel free to friend me here and there!

there are plenty of things that you can do without joining a gym -- although a gym membership might be cheaper than you think (mine is $25 per month. You can certainly lose weight without exercise, but exercise -- cardio and strength training -- will help to tighten everything as you go. That's my $0.02.

i have bought clothes as I move into each new size. I don't go hog-wild, but try to buy a base of clothes -- pants, tops and a dress or two -- probably $200-300 but nowhere near $500/1000
