then it wouldn't be an apricot glaze -- it would just be garlic. I love the sweetness...

for me, it's a no-go for now. Chocolate and chocolate bars are a trigger food -- and I would never be able to stop at just 1 serving. Therefore, I don't keep any of it in the house. I do get some chocolate in my protein shake and my protein bars.

2 training days and 3-4 cardio days

I've found the brand Pure Protein -- they make a bar that's chocolate salted caramel - it's REALLY yummy, has 20 g of protein and it's about 200 calories.

I made the changes in stages. In the first stage, I switched diet soda to water (flavored with crystal light), limited red meat to about 2 times per week and gave up all fast food (except the occasional Subway sandwich). I drink 3-5 water bottles per day (24 oz each). In this second stage, I've tweaked my nutrition plan…

Awesome job!!! I know how that feels as a few days ago I did almost the same thing -- and then bounced up again.....Keep up the good work!

I'm an upholder. Pretty much me to a T.

I'm making grilled boneless, skinless chicken thighs with an apricot-garlic glaze

just a few thoughts...i've used black beans in 2 different recipes...an asian 3-bean salad and a corn and black bean salsa. both are seriously yummy. for protein shakes, you want one that's high in protein and geared towards weight loss (not muscle gain). I make mine with 1 cup of 1% milk and 1 tbsp of olive oil (to hit my…

increase your protein and fat intake. both should keep you full longer.

I've been at this for just over 18 months. I am down 43 lbs....and still going.

i love my protein shake! I have it in the mornings and mix it with ice and 1 cup of milk and a tbsp of olive oil (to hit my fat macro). zip it in the blender. Tastes just like a chocolate milkshake!!! For me, it's a win-win and I think this will be a long-term solution for me in getting to my protein macro.
-
maybe try increasing the protein and/or fats. Since I've been doing that, I rarely get hungry. I have protein bars if it's too far away from a meal.
-
I look at it for motivation....when it tells me how much less I will weight 5 weeks out OR when I've had a "bad" day and it shows me how much more I will weigh in 5 weeks....

when buying protein bars, I look for high protein counts -- 12+ grams. I try to balance out the number of calories with my meals for that day.

I went about 6 months at a plateau. Watching what I ate, working out with a trainer 2 days per week and cardio 3 days per week. This was all before finding mfp and signing up for The Biggest Loser Community Challenge at my gym. I have dropped almost 17 lbs since the end of January.

Love it! Buy mine at the gym. Not cheap but it helps me meet my protein goal. I also bury a tbsp of olive oil to hit my fat macro. I make it with ice and milk in a blender. Tastes just like a chocolate milk shake! And it holds me over until lunch. Worth every penny for me! And it takes the guesswork out of breakfast.

I love my protein shakes! I get them at the gym, but you can buy them at other places. they give a nice hit of protein and, when made with milk and ice (I also throw in a tbsp of olive oil to hit my fat macro), they taste just like a chocolate milk shake!!!!

i love my chocolate protein shake. I make it with 1 cup of 1% milk, 1 tbsp of olive oil (to hit my fat macro) and ice. I run it in the blender. Tastes just like a chocolate milkshake. I plan to do this for the long haul...and occasionally have done it for breakfast or lunch. So breakfast for me has: 410 calories 36 grams…

Luckily for me it hasn't been like that. It helped me kick a serious diet soda habit. With the food plan I'm on I don't seem to get cravings, unless something is put right in front of me.

Just checked. It has 5 calories and 0 Carbs. That's a win-win in my book.

Luckily crystal light has no calories and better to drink water that way than not at all.
-
I cut out fast food, soda, breads and pasta.

no reason to cringe at me, LOL! I hold on to the bar in the front especially when the incline gets steeper. why? because I do -- and not due to any health issue.
-
when I hit 14 pounds lost, it asked me if i wanted MFP to automatically update/change my goals. I said no.

I LOVE my protein shake! I make it with 8 oz, of 1% milk, ice and a tbsp of olive oil (to hit my fat macro). It is delicious in taste and the texture is just like that of a milkshake. In terms of nutrients, it has 36 grams of carbs, 19 grams of fat and 29 grams of protein. How is this not a balanced meal?

wow. that's amazing and in only a year! Awesome job!

squats, lunges, jumping jacks, small hand weights -- biceps, triceps, got a physio ball -- LOTS of things you can do with that,

the best decision i made was to start working with a trainer. we did some initial diet tweaking. Our workouts consisted of a combination of cardio, strength training and core work. The benefit is to keep tightening as I lose weight. One of these days, i might actually be able to SEE what must soon be a set of 4-pack abs…
