  • Thank you, you are right. I've set some goals that have nothing to do with the scale, so I will focus on those.
  • 9lbs a month, you mean. Lol, thank you though. I realize I have high expectations for every aspect of my life, not just this. I do need to work on being satisfied with less.
  • I've been counting calories seriously for 3 months, and lost 12lbs the first month (with no exercise), 10lbs second month, and only 5 this month (would have been 7 if I hadn't gained this week). I just feel like I'm working hard and not losing enough to match what I'm putting forth. I'm happy that I am losing, but I guess…
  • I'd love for anyone to add me. I've been on this journey before and had success, but I always seem to find myself back here starting from scratch. I need to find a way to be successful and keep the weight off for good.
  • I try to do the same thing I do when it's not that TOM. Some days cramps are too bad and I can only do about 15 mins and no lifting, but it just depends how I'm feeling day to day. I do the elliptical, stationary bike, treadmill, or cardio DVDs. Some days I skip if I'm feeling extra yuck or just do as much as I can.
  • You can add me if you'd like. I've been off the wagon the past 2 weeks, but I fully intend to get back on the right track starting now.
  • I'm 5'6 and 27 yrs old. SW - 242 (this year...my highest was over 275 in 2008) CW - 223 GW - 150 (to be considered a healthy BMI) I am far from an expert because I've been on this journey many times. My tips are just to take it slow, and find supportive people to surround yourself with. It's no way to live being…
  • Gosh, I felt awful the first time I stepped in the gym. I'm like "all these people are going to be super fit looking at me like why is this fat idiot in here even trying." After I got going, and I saw changes in my body, I noticed it changed how I felt. I had more energy and I know I can better myself. Who gives a s***…
  • Lots of people here have problems with binge eating even after a long time at this. It's something we'll struggle with for a long time if we don't find ways around it. I try to only buy single serving sizes of the foods I know I tend to overeat, and if that's not possible, I stay away from the food for a while (don't buy…
  • The only milk that agrees with my stomach is almond milk (I like the unsweetened vanilla variety). The taste takes a little getting used to, but in smoothies it's not that big of a deal. I say choose whichever you like that fits in your goals.
  • It depends what I'm looking for at the time. If I want a super low calorie option, I choose Great Value 40 calorie wheat bread. Sometimes I want to splurge and get a nice soft white bread, so I get Evangeline. I also like honey wheat bread...it's whatever you want that fits your taste and calories.
  • Congrats! You look amazing and such an inspiration!
  • I did the same DVD yesterday for the first time completing it. I cannot do a push-up either, but I tried my best. All we can do is our best. Good luck to you! You did great.
  • I have similar issues, and luckily my episodes have gotten less frequent. I find that I have to stay away from the foods I tend to binge on especially when I'm feeling emotional or will have excess idle time. I just don't buy those foods because I know I won't be able to stop eating them during those times. My weakness is…
  • Gosh, you all look amazing. Congrats!
  • Thank you! You too! I just noticed after I edited my post that I like to say "as well" a lot...LOL
  • Added you! Looking for friends as well. It's nice to have people with similar goals. Oh, and I go to the gym as well. I love a machine called the Arc...it's basically a fancy elliptical, and I sometimes get on the treadmill or stationary bike. I also do weight training on the machines and free weights.
  • Congrats! You are certainly a great inspiration to keep going. Good luck on your journey!
  • At my heaviest I had over 100lbs to lose. Now, I have about 85 to be at a healthy BMI. Anyone can add me if they'd like. I like to have friends on here to keep the support up.
  • I would like to try. How does this work exactly?
  • After a while her DVDs get annoying, but when I first lost weight (75lbs) I did it using just her DVDs and diet. I did gain half of that back after my mom passed, but that's another story. I do think the DVDs are a great supplement for days when you don't feel like going anywhere just to keep moving.
