Add me. :)

Exactly. This x1000

Agreed, it's okay to take some time to adjust

Because they taste bad :)

Why??

I wouldn't bother entering it daily, just set your calorie goal a bit higher. The amount it burns for your body to make the milk varies but it's usually estimated at 300-500 calories a day. I am eating an extra 300 more than I would have if I weren't BF. When my baby starts solid foods and actually starts decreasing her…

Exercise gives you endorphins and endorphins make you happy! Anyone who watched Legally Blonde knows this :) In all seriousness I am sorry for your loss. Since you asked how to get your mind off it and feel better for a short time, exercise WILL help :)

You don't want a high level of sodium, you want to stay under the sodium amount. We need some for our hearts to work properly (and other parts of the body) but most people have way too much in the standard diet. If you're WAY low and are craving salt or feel lightheaded, etc - just add salt to your food.

I weigh myself daily otherwise I lose motivation. Even if the scale goes up I personally am still motivated to keep on my diet. Some people see a small gain after a day of dieting and want to give up, so they prefer weekly.
-
Am I too tall to "weigh in" on this topic? I'm 5'5, which is "average" height :) My long term eventual goal is 130, but my goal for right now is just 175. I have always been heavy. I used this calculator: http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html and it says: Based on the Robinson formula (1983), your ideal…

I buy the veggie pasta from the store that already has veggies mixed into it, and is like a tri-color pasta. Thats my compromise. It tastes the same :)

I can't speak for how anyone else is prescribed it, but my doctor's prescribed plan was a very low calorie vegan diet, which was very similar to the diet Dr. John McDougall outlines in "The Starch Solution" (you can google this and get a lot of info, but it's basically tons of starch [potatoes, rice, beans, etc], fresh…

You can do it :) Feel free to add me - carbs are not your enemy, you can totally lose weight and still enjoy eating

There are plenty of other legal drugs that have a lot of negative side effects. That doesn't mean they have no use. Personally, I think it's kind of rude for people who haven't used it, or maybe even have and didn't like it, to call it a "magic pill" or "silver bullet". Taking this medication is NOT an "easy way out". It's…

Did your doctor give you diet advice too? Mine had a very detailed plan, it wasn't just the drug :)
-
I took it and was very pleased. My doctors plan was 3 months on it then 3 months off and hopefully I wouldn't need it again. I lost 30 lbs the first 2 months. In the third month I just didn't feel like taking it every day and weaned off it. I lost 40 lbs by the 4th month and my husband and I started trying to get pregnant.…

The best way to get rid of a habit is to replace it with something new, completely unrelated. Pick up a new hobby.
-
Agreed. I keep seeing people complaining about being hungry - well yeah! If you're hungry, you're doing SOMETHING right. When my stomach growls I growl right back.

Here is a list of recipes that are vegan, easy, tasty, and cheap ;) Not complex at all. http://www.lanimuelrath.com/500-recipes-for-mcdougall-maximum-weight-loss-diet/ Eating out on a vegan diet can be VERY tricky, because chefs and cooks love to use chicken broth and butter. ON EVERYTHING. You have to plan ahead and be…

If that were true it should be easier for us moms to lose weight, since we know we never get to eat our meals hot, we eat once everyone else is done eating and the food is cold. :-P
-
Yeah, cause it's cold. It's been drastically colder everywhere in the US for the past few days.
-
Wait how do you know if you aren't going out? :)

2-3 times a week counting all fast food, take out, restaurants (fast food and take out is JUST as hard to properly count as sitting in the place) and ALL meals? If you're only counting people who are actively trying to lose weight maybe. If you're looking at everyone then no way.
-
My baby is 5 mo old, also just started trying to lose weight. I work full time so I pump at work and I can see the difference in my supply. I have oatmeal every morning to help.
-
Not when you're on phentermine. For most people, yes that's great. For someone who actually would benefit from phentermine, 4 lbs in 3 weeks should be easy without phentermine. On that drug you should lose 4 lbs the first week. But I agree OP should not be on it.
-
I'm counting fast food and take out as restaurant food. And when it comes to mid-week, well, I'd challenge you to find parking at any of the restaurants in a 5 mile radius of my office between 11-2 any weekday.
