28 - 30 eggs is a normal week for me. 60 this week and 120 the week before. There is a n=1 where a guy is reported as eating 30 a day for decades. Lived a long life I believe.

I eat this way. I love it. Lost 16kg (35lbs). Lost 18cm (7inches) off my waist. I personally find it easy to stick to but if you have a sweet tooth, love your carbs, eat out a lot (takeaways) or have partner / family that eat rubbish in front of you, you may find it hard to adhere to. I started trying to replicate the…

Absolutely. Look at Luis VIllasenor from Ketogains he is ripped and eats keto.

You would mainly lose muscle if you weren't resistance training and eating enough protein to maintain / build. So technically yes. However, your hunger levels would rise too since you wouldn't be feeding your body adequate nutrients making it harder to maintain the deficit. In the long term you would crumble and begin…

I don't count calories. I find LCHF makes intuitive eating easier. The only time I weigh my food is when I want to "roughly" figure out how much protein is in something. Other than that I usually allow my body to tell me if I'm still hungry and if I am, I eat something real that's low in carbs.

I IF every working day. I started with 16:8 (Leangains method) and have progressed to a somewhat 20:4 (Warrior Diet method) IF mainly because I can't be bothered prepping lunch. My schedule is last meal around 8pm and don't eat again until around 4pm (ish) the next day. I have fasted a whole weekend once but it becomes…

I believe the power with LCHF isn't in the CICO but the macros you are eating. As an example if someone who is insulin resistant eats a deficit but incorporates most of their calories from carbs won't have the same results as someone (fat adapted of course) eating similar calories but limits their carbs and replaces them…

Never said it was a magical way to lose weight. I just tried to answer the OP the best way I know how and that happens to be LCHF. Has worked for me and many others.

IMO I would swap out the crossfit and implement a strength program. Some 5x5 program similar to Stronglifts (if you are a beginner) or Texas Method to name a couple. Bone density should increase with a well formulated strength program as the muscle fibres pull against the bone forcing them to thicken etc.... As far as I…

I'm surprised you posted this and no one pulled you up on it. I mention LCHF with good intentions and everyone jumps down my throat like I'm suggesting they drain blood to lose weight??? On another note, LCHF is a very good way to lose fat as well as improve other health markers. Worth considering.

I haven't weighed or counted calories. I just eat LCHF and listen to my body. When I'm full I don't eat anymore. If I'm not full I add a little more protein and fat to my diet. Pretty simple. Works well for me, I'm down 16kg from the beginning of the year and my health markers are better than pre LCHF. As far as I know,…

Just without the need to weigh / count calories (usually depending on the person). Much easier IMO

Where did I suggest it was for everyone? I was merely offering an alternative to what would normally be the same CICO answers. I pointed out quite clearly that it worked for me and if the OP wanted to try it the could simply search for it. I only pointed out that my health markers improved because everyone is usually fat…

What's your comfort food? There may be something similar that isn't quite as bad as what you are currently eating. Example: feel like eating chocolate, eat nuts instead. Might be lacking in Magnesium. That sort of thing etc....

Recent research / study suggests that people that wear fitbits or other devices lose less weight than those that don't use them. Don't have the link and I haven't read the research. The theory behind it could be that those that track their steps and know they have burned x calories (debateable to know because it is closed…

I'm probably going to suggest what would be considered by some here as unconventional advice but I would eat less carbs. I looked at some of your entries and your carbs were high. I know the conventional wisdom is to eat more complex carbs and lower fat but I can say from personal experience, I have had better results in…

The link to this guys food diary here Doesn't really prove anything. He might be better suited to using carbs / sugar for energy than others like myself. I naturally find myself in calorie deficit by following a keto style of eating without the need to count calories. May work for others if they give it a crack?

I never said my way was the right way. Just explained why I'm different to you and couldn't eat the way you do. Eating keto / lchf for me is very sustainable and helps me keep on track for my weight loss and has helped sort out my blood tests. I eat more veggies now than I have ever eaten and I generally feel healthier.…

Why am I being flagged when this post is basically the same as mine? I'm offering advice just like everyone else? @RunRutheeRun I agree with your post by the way. Just not too much protein though.

Wasn't trying to confuse. Just trying to give what I believe to be the truth about diets and our bodies. I agree with you that we are all different and that some thrive on high fat others on high carbs. To be completely honest, I don't know what the poster eats and I'm only making assumptions to his diet. Based on this I…

We are all different and we all use food differently. I wouldn't be able to eat the way you do because I would be starving and most probably putting on weight. Whereas on a keto (LCHF) based diet I find that I'm satiated whilst losing fat around my middle. Can't be too bad if I'm losing weight / fat around the middle…

There really aren't too many cons to stop you from trying. I think the pros far outweigh the cons. My main con was that my fiber intake was low which made toilet time very hard (excuse the pun). But with psyllium husk added in my diet that was sorted. Funny thing was I never really had good fiber in my bad diet anyway? Not…

HI haven't posted here for a while so I wouldn't know about that. Have you been there and read up on the info at hand? I find that it works really well for me so I figure there might actually be people out there that could benefit from dietdoctors advice.

Give LCHF or Keto a try. It works wonders. I don't count calories and my workouts throughout the week aren't too strenuous to make much difference. I have lost 10kg (22lbs) since the beginning of the year (probably would be more but I have put on muscle) just by following a higher fat, moderate protein and lower carb diet.…

Cut the carbs and increase the fat. The fat will keep you full for longer and the lower the carbs are the easier it will be to access your stored fat. Read up here for more info.

Don't count calories. CICO doesn't work long term for most people. It usually damages your metabolism. Instead I would recommend following a diet similar to that of LCHF or Keto. The basic principle is this: you eat carbs (could be sugar rich or it could be whole wheat bread). This dumps a fair amount of sugar into your…

Cut all added sugar from your diet.
-
Out of interest, why wouldn't you drop bread?
-
So all calories are equal? I don't think it's quite that simple considering how different everyone is. There are so many reasons a "CICO" model won't work that I personally think it is bad practice to provide that, as the all powerful way to lose weight.

I'm an adult so I just don't eat the food I perceive to be bad. I'm in control.
