Lost my way.

I've worked so hard to loose weight and the last few months, I've been turning to food for comfort. Lots going on, but who doesn't have crap in their life, right? How can I get my head back in the game and stay there?

we all have crap. ask yourself one question...Do i want to be that fat again? I bet the answer is no. Find foods that keep you satisfied or make you feel full, drink more water, go for a walk, do anything but eat for comfort

I totally understand I started at 205 in 2013 got down to 177 nearly gained it all back (2nd pregnancy) now I'm back down to 180 I definitely have a food addiction but I have started asking myself am I worth it? Do I need to eat that? I also have a medical condition I've had 3 open heart surgeries so I am constantly looking at my 7 & 2 year old for support I want to be around a LONG time to watch them grow up I mean my 7 year old knows that when I say I want ice cream she's supposed to yell at me (I'm also lactose intolerant)

What's your comfort food? There may be something similar that isn't quite as bad as what you are currently eating. Example: feel like eating chocolate, eat nuts instead. Might be lacking in Magnesium. That sort of thing etc....

I find it helpful to educate myself on food/nutrition via MFP blogs, enewsletters, recently Lyle McDonald ebooks, magazines, etc. it helps me keep healthy eating "top of mind".

This is a great suggestion but I'm not sure I agree with the example. A 40 cal dark chocolate square is a lot easier to fit in than 200cal for 1oz pecans. I guess it just depends on the quantity needed to feel satisfied.
