My condolences, Cat.

Today I did not even track what I ate. Sometimes I just don't feel like it. Why do we eat crappy stuff when we know we're not going to feel good later? Exercise was good - jogging outdoors, yoga, and upper body work. Hope your day went well.
-
I'm still struggling with the eating and went over my calorie goal. For exercise, I did an hour of aerobics, had an hour-long yoga class, did lower body strength training, and some jogging in place because it's raining. If I didn't exercise, I'd be as big as a house! I hope you had another good day.

You're welcome. It will be good for me, too. Okay, so today I consumed more calories than I intended :/ , but my exercise was great. Jogging, walking, strength training, and I'm about to start an online AARP Pilates class at 6:30. I should be tired tonight! Cat, I hope your day went well.

Cat, would you like to return to doing daily check-ins and weekly weigh-ins? I'm up for it if you are. I seem to be up 6 pounds. :'(

Hi Cat! Still here. I see Ann's exercise updates in my feed, so she is still around and kicking b-tt. Hope all is well with you and your family. I'm sure that you're enjoying the latest grandchild. I have a new great nephew. Unfortunately, he lives out of state, so I won't get to see him for a bit. I'm still exercising…

Yes, the hands of the clock are moving way faster than they used to. Sorry to hear that the kids are sick. Fingers are crossed that you stay well.
-
Cat, sending good wishes for your son. Good luck with the child care. Good thing you had your knee surgery done! Your cheerleading will be appreciated. <3

Cat, you already keep track of your exercise, so every day you will post your total exercise minutes. Every week, there is an LTLG - Living the Good Life - habit to work on. For example, it might be logging everything you eat. If you do it, you give yourself 10 points for the day, and if you don't, you give yourself a 0.…

It looks like we're all on different teams. I'm on Fit Force, Ann is on Thinner Winners, and Cat is on Tenacious GR8TERS, so we'll be competing against each other! You'll find a lot of support on your teams. but we can always post here and get support when we need it. Good luck!

I've thought about a weighted vest for walking, but I didn't didn't actually do anything about it. It does make sense that it would further stress your bones and improve density. It's certainly better than gaining the weight back. :D Think of the extra calories you'll be burning. :) Glad your knee is doing well.

Invitations to the 5% Challenge teams will be going out this week, likely Wednesday or Thursday, so make sure that you check the My Groups page! Join your team and you'll see that everything is self-explanatory, but if you have questions, don't hesitate to check with your team leaders. We start with a practice week so…

And I love fall in New England. It is my favorite season. I'm glad to hear the walking is going well.! Ann, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. And I am hoping that the doctor is mistaken about cancer. You're in my thoughts. <3
-
Cat, I would NEVER call you lazy! You are very determined, so I know you will up your exercise. With your bionic knee, you can go back to walking, and your strength training will help too. You've got this! When you start the 5% challenge, you say that you are in maintenance rather than try to lose 5% of your weight. Any…

Now you just wait. They will sort people onto teams, and before the start of the challenge on October 7th, you will get an invitation to join your team's group. The invitations usually go out a week or so before the challenge starts. You'll see your team when you select "My Groups" in the MFP Community, and there will be a…

Got it!

I'm on Fit Force. Your exercise is impressive, Cat!

Cat, sorry to hear about the infection. Hopefully the antibiotics will resolve it quickly so that you're feeling better again. Ann, I am sorry that you have so much going on right now. I hope that things improve for you soon. <3

Fit Force, please!

Cat, this is unfortunately true for me as well. I have taken a break from logging because I am just plain sick of it. My weight has been pretty stable, but now I'm starting to see an uptick. Exercise is easier for me. I do it religiously. Bottom line: I am recommitted to tracking today. Hope the time with the grands didn't…

I could have written your last comment, Cat! Happy weekend everyone. Let's make an all-out effort for these two days to stick to our calorie limits and exercise as much as we can.

OMG - Eddy Ray is so cute! I saw my MIL today. She is 4 months out from knee replacement and is doing so well. She said she is ready to dance. She went into surgery in good physical shape and is a fanatic about doing her physical therapy, just like you Cat. So if you're not already dancing, you will be soon. I didn't have…

Just popping in to cheer you on. Gerri, I hope the new med(s) agree with your body and bring your blood pressure under control. Cat, I see that you had a good day! I bought new curtains for the living room. Then I discovered that I needed to replace the curtain rod. While I was mounting the new brackets, my sun-screened…

Good job, Cat! I walked 7 miles this morning and am trying an AARP Pilates class via Zoom this evening. I'm a Pilates virgin, so wish me luck! :D Gerri, it is great to see you back here! <3 You can do this! I see Ann's updates in my feed, and she is powering on, even fitting in some running!

Cat, I'm sorry to hear about the anemia. The fatigue is a bummer, but if I know you, you are powering through. All is well here. I'm looking forward to fall, my favorite season. We were hunkered down in the basement closet the other day as we had tornadoes in RI and MA. In New England, we're used to hurricanes, but…

Congratulations Ann and Cat on the weight loss. I'm maintaining, but have found that as humidity has moved into our area, the increased water in the atmosphere has translated correlates with an increase in water in my body. I'm already looking forward to fall. :D We're anticipating severe thunder storms, but I don't think…

Hi Gerri! Great to see you. You are thought of often and definitely are missed. I hope things are going better for you now and that your health is good. <3

Thanks for the heads up, Cat. I feel as though I have received mail from every Medicare "expert" on earth. It's a beautiful day here. Hubby made jalapeno poppers using peppers from our garden, and we'll have those for dinner tonight. I had my first ever in person yoga class yesterday. I have always practiced at home using…
