I’ve heard so many different things. I was just wondering what others thought about the whole processed vs. fresh foods only and was hoping to get some tips on what others might recommend as far as snacking.

Agreed. I’ve just heard so many different things. I was curious about what others thought.

Just not for breakfast lunch and dinner.

So do you make just enough so that it is all consumed within a few days.

Thank you all for your feedback. I guess it’s really all about making healthy choices. Pretzels over say, Oreos. Whole grain toast over maybe sourdough. Unless maybe one slice of sourdough. Baked potato over French fried. Grilled chicken over fried chicken. As far as dessert goes. I have an ice cream maker and it does say…

Me me me. I’m 5’ 4” and weigh 193

To me junk would be like eating Oreos, drinking soda. I know fruit has sugar but it is not something that is processed.

I have an insatiable sweet tooth. See's is my chocolate of choice. Other candy just won't do. So I make it a point to not buy often.
-
Awesome!!!!!!!!

I carry a 32 oz bottle with me. My goal is to fill it 4X a day.

Wow!!! I never thought of eating cereal for dessert. Sometime a tall glass of chocolate milk but cereal i guess would be a great treat as well.

Thank you. I completely forgot about short term goals. Just last night i was telling my husband how I really want to lose the all this weight. I'm 5' 4" and weigh 193. So i will just focus on trying to lose weekly for now.
-
I no longer look at it as "dieting" just eating healthy as much as possible. I have an insatiable sweet tooth but i do my best.

I'm starting over as well. Feel free to add me.

I was just discussing this with my husband this morning. My words to him we're how I know exactly what to do. I just need to do it.

42, as of yesterday

Feel free to add me. I to have been trying to lose weight for years. I'm constantly, starting over. I think it's all about making the commitment and most importantly sticking to it. Meal prepping helps. Maybe start with that.

Also if you are using your phone you can scan a lot of items.

Add me

Thanks. I think I'll look at that Happy Scale app. I also get a bit of anxiety with a weekly weigh in. Although I know it is completely normal to see fluctuations I just don't like when it swings upwards. Thanks again.

Thank you all for the input. I think I will try the daily thing and also try not to let the higher days get to me. A year ago I was a surrogate and carried twins. Although I've lost all of the pregnancy weight my clothes still fit a little snug. I have an old pair of jeans that I am finally able to put on with out too much…

Work ethic, my father.

Ugh. I know the feeling. Not about a 15 hour shift but definitely after a long day and you know you want to be good but your just to tired to focus on that and a nice just out of the oven pizza would work. Maybe try to keep healthy snacks on hand. For me. I bought Persian cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, rice cakes, peanut…

Me: 0 LNS: often I bought persian cucmbers an cherry tomatoes. So probably the beter choice for LNS. New month new start. Let's see how this goes.

Well. I fell off the wagon again. I read somewhere something about how consistency is key. I am so inconsistent with this. I picked up the kettlebell but I think the inconsistent workouts are due to being so soar I don't feel like I can move the next day. although I have lost just 3 whole pounds. I have like 60 more to go.…

Doesn't have to be hard. I'm 5' 4" I'm 194. Neither of us are at the weight we would like to be. I delivered twins 10 months ago. Don't look at this as "DIETING" look at it as trying to make healthy choices. If you like fruits and veggies it shouldn't be a hard decision. Yes some stuff can be expensive. Just buy a little…
