Identify your triggers... is it being tired? Overwhelmed? Stressed? TV? Evenings? Try having healthy snacks on hand. Watch less TV. Reward yourself with a healthy treat after so many hours of school work. Go for a power walk when feeling tired or unmotivated to do school work. Drink more water. Eat less sugar, salt, grease…

I have a Fitbit. I feel like I have someone always coaching me now.

I am assuming there is more to the story? 1. No one has the right to speak to you that way. My partner would never ever call me any names, ever. That is abusive. 2. If he did not like how you were behaving he should have addressed it in an appropriate way. 3. Breakups are hard and you need to allow yourself to grieve and…

My doctor told me that having high cholesterol and eating eggs are not correlated because it is a different type of cholesterol. I would speak with a dietitian or nutritionist if you have health concerns.

It is my middle name and the year I created this account.

I try to avoid processed foods and foods with too much sugar... or any sugar at all really, as much as possible. I really do not like the term "clean eating" because it is open to interpretation and implies that anything else is "dirty". To me how can you be trying to be healthy and lose weight if you are eating a lot of…

Don't have ANY. Two days ago there was candy at work and I grabbed a Jellybean thinking that one won't hurt.... I couldnt stop. I ate 3 bags of candy. Ugh. Maybe go and have a healthy snack like an apple or some other fruit. Replace one habit for a healthier one.

I never thought I would survive without at least 2 milk and 2 sugar. When I went to Tims I used to get double doubles (even worse cause of cream!). I eventually changed it to milk and splenda. Then I heart artificial sweeteners are not good for you or for weight loss. Now I only put in some skim milk. Nothing else. I…

Maybe invite them for something specific that you know they would be up for. Like, make sure they like the activity. Tell them you are thinking about going for a hike to wherever on a certain day and invite them to come along? Or, ask them what activities they enjoy and set a date to do them? Walking is always an easy one…

Are you on your feet a lot at work? Maybe try walking to and from work? (or park your car further away, get off bus stop further away, etc). I am no pro, but this is what I have been doing: I only drink water, coffee, or skimmed milk. There are a lot of calories and carbs and in certain drinks. I only have carbs at lunch…

I went 2500 calories over my limit yesterday due to Superbowl. I had planned to eat "bad" anyway though. I just did not realize it was THAT bad when I logged it.

Thank you everyone for the advice. Maybe the forum I read was about "bulking" specifically. Either way, I will keep doing what I am doing. :)

It is kind of pricey too

I love making spaghetti squash spaghetti or chicken Alfredo. I also have 0% plain greek yogurt with berries every morning. Love it!

thanks!!

I love this idea.

I am definitely not bored and have lots of hobbies. A good theory though.

SO TRUE!! I love when they are on sale like 2 for $5 or $2 per container. I recently got a bunch of frozen berries on sale for $3 a bag and put a cup of them in my 0% plain greek yogurt and leave it over night and eat it at work the next morning. DELICIOUS!!! PS: GREEK YOGURT! It is $6-$7 for a large container. UGH!

3 pomegranates came to $12.00 the other night. I also LOVE greens like swiss chard and spinach... but I find I am looking at $4 just to have a meal with it.

Do what works for you? I typically have a small snack before a workout so that I am not hungry or faint. I never eat big before a workout because it will upset my stomach.

30 mins of weights x 5 days a week at this point. I want to incorporate walking when weather is not so bad.

Is this really a good idea though? I heard breakfast is important for metabolism. And that it should be within the first hour of waking. Also, a high protein breakfast usually lasts me until lunch time before I am hungry again.
-
This is a good idea. I really should be getting more sleep anyway
-
No. It is not hunger. I have no problem eating if I am hungry. It is the the types of food I am wanting and the specific times. Some literature I found does talk about how we tend to want high energy food at a time when our body is more likely to store it as fat for later on. Others talk about hormones and insulin spikes,…

I don't think anyone really LOVES veggies. Maybe. I don't know. But there are so many different ones and different ways to eat them. And with enough time and routine, it will not seem so bad. If I am having greens I put vinegar on them. Or, I try to load whatever I am making with lots of veggies: For example: Spaghetti.…

Thanks everyone! I used to do the peanut butter thing. I got into a routine of having a piece of fruit as a dessert but then later on I would want something more. My issue with saving calories is I only have 1200 per day as it is. I will keep at it though! Thank you.

I heard that there should be an 8 hour window between cardio and weights. I do weights daily but I do legs one day and then arms. And rotate. I always start with some planks and crunches though, daily. My goal is to do a brisk walk in the morning before work. Weights at lunch. And walk in the evening. That isnt really an 8…
