I love to munch and that's the hardest part of calorie restriction for me. So to save myself a binge I am always sure to take meals that can be broken up into smaller nibbly parts so that I can eat all throughout my day, that way I'm not snickers-starving at the end of the day. Sometimes if I feel like I think I'm hungry I…

"I also knew I wouldn't have health issues from going vegetarian. If anything, my health would be better." Ummmmm. No. However good luck all the same in finding what works for you.

The pie chart in MFP is really only accurate at the end of the day. If you click the list icon you can see your full nutrition breakdown. Use the gram goals in that to better help gauge your progress throughout the day. At the end you can see how well you did with your percentages on the pie chart and use your log to…

Quinoa is one of the few vegan friendly foods that contains complete protein (aka all the amino acids our bodies need are in one food.) For quick help Hemp hearts/seeds can go on and in anything and taste delicious. My post-workout saviour is banana dipped in hemp hearts. You might want to try finding a vegan protein…

Bake with it. Just substitute some of whatever you're using for flour with your protein (I've had success with up to half, it's all experimentation). Some protein powders never ever blend up nice in shakes or smoothies... Had the same issue with hemp protein when I was trying to do the plant-based thing. I gave up on…

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH EATING MEAT! It is a personal choice. Some people choose not to due to their own personal rationalizations, reasons, and physical limitations. Some cuts/types of meat are better than others. You might want to educate yourself if your concerned with fattyness and such, the leaner the…

Very very few of the ingredients in shakeology have any scientific evidence backing their health claims, and it's not for lack of studies being done. The only thing that upsets me is these people saying shakeology is only $4 a day. It's not. You pay taxes on it. You pay shipping costs on it because you can only buy it…

More protein. If you want to change your ratios try something around 40-40-20. More protein will give your body more building blocks for maintaining and building muscles. It will make it easier for your body to get and keep the benefits of the work you're doing lifting.

Breakfast - oatmeal (or some such grain food that takes a long time to digest) and protein (I usually do eggs. Sometimes eaten as a mid-morning snack) Lunch - salad in a jar then add a protein on top when you go to eat it (I like tuna right now. Chicken is good too if you like it) Dinner - baked tilapia or basa or salmon…

You might want to do your own calculations for potassium. almost every vegetable out there has some in it and most lean meats and fish and things. problem is most of the nutrition information on MFP doesn't list the potassium content (massively annoying for those of us trying to track). Do some googling on the potassium…

Can't say I've seen too much real science on any benefits or drawbacks to drinking tea. There are lots of opinions and claims out there from shady and reliable sources alike. If you want some serious studies maybe search for studies on more specific tea ingredients like ginger or lemongrass (or any of the million other…

I love this list --> http://ohsheglows.com/2014/08/26/back-to-school-21-portable-allergy-friendly-snack-recipes-vegan-gluten-free-with-nut-free-options/ (just don't be afraid to substitute things if any ingredients are too vegan-y or expensive or what not. I'm not vegan but this blog is one of my all time favorites for…

The only ratio I've ever lost weight with using diet alone is 40/40/20 (protein-carbs-fat). Maybe look at what you're eating and see where you can eat less of any fats. If its hunger based eating that's taking you over having more protein might help keep you satiated.

Banana dipped in hemp hearts. (as long as you actually like bananas.) The sugar in bananas will help replenish your glucose levels and the hemp hearts give you your protein. These two are so easy to digest your tummy and muscles will LOVE you! After any sort of hard or HIIT workout this saves my life until I can have my…
