  • I'm sure others will post links to "weight loss is not linear" and some awesome flow charts. It is normal, you know if you are really being diligent about your CICO and doing the right things. I tend to weigh daily so I can see those fluctuations...I "sort of" get used to them. BUT it is always a bummer when the scale goes…
  • Here are two of my favorite trips... Europe: Italy centered....Italy, Croatia, Greece Awesome food, culture, scenery, people! Africa: I've only been to Tanzania on a safari which was much more amazing than I expected and then spent a few days on Zanzibar for beach and culture. Amazing trip, planning on returning in a few…
  • SF Hot chocolate SF Werthers caramels (hard candy) Dove dark dark chocolate chocolate chips (I like Giradhelli 60%) Those are my go to's...
  • You are doing great! You don't have a ton to lose so 1 pound a week or less is probably going to be your standard. I'm 5'4" and started at 189 1/1 and am down to 181 in 6 weeks just to give you some perspective. I am also pretty sedentary but work out around 5 days a week doing a variety of things for at least an…
  • I also just do coffee with almond milk...I save the rest of my calories for later in the day. Works well for me. If I get hungry, it's usually around 10 am and I will have an apple and maybe some chicken.
  • When I'm home for the day with potential grazing, I will make a snack platter. Thinly sliced apples, veggies that I like (celery, cucumber) and some light salami and cheese. I can make it last all day with only about 200 calories spent.
  • Good for you for going after it when it is only 10 pounds! That is the best way to keep at your best self!
  • I switched to unsweetened almond milk...much more calorie friendly and works great (I use it in coffee not smoothies)

  • You can be that person that brings the veggie tray...then enjoy it along with other treats in moderation. MFP posted a blog earlier this week with healthy snacks for the game...there are plenty you can make. chili is super easy to make a healthy and delicious version...then you could put toppings on the side so others can…
  • Can you liquid measure how much egg white you are using and then use the liquid egg whites the same way? I would assume the calories and nutrition would be close enough to not throw your diary or day off.
  • you must have been tensing your shoulders and upper back when you were running. I would recommend maybe some heat and/or light stretches. If you don't know any shoulder/upper back stretches you may want to look some up. I think they would feel great!
  • If you don't like them, I wouldn't work too hard at it....you can get the healthy fats other ways and they are pretty calorie dense. That being said...they are awesome all of the ways above but I went back to an old recipe that my Gram used to make a long time ago... dice one avocado section 2 Ruby Red grapefruits (I try…

  • Nice work! You should totally celebrate where you are! Also love the Burpee shirt...I hate them...
  • Focus your diet on vegetables and lean proteins as your primary source of calories...add in healthy fats, complex carbs and other foods as you want. I struggle with loving those carb and sugar sources like sweets, breads, pasta, etc. I know I could work these into my plan but they tend to gobble up my calorie allowance and…
  • So awesome! Congratulations on your success...those hikes have to be a bit easier without that extra 130 lbs!
  • I think it's peoples' own insecurities about their weight that makes them do that. You are strong, you have had great success in your weight loss! Now you just have to work on tuning them out.
  • One of my favorite lunches is a salad made from diced chicken breast, diced apple, celery and light mayo...sometimes I put it over lettuce, sometimes not. you can bulk it up so easily with more celery and it is delicious! I also tend to make soups that are low cal...I love squash soup for example and I can make it at only…
  • Congratulations, you look awesome!
  • I slice an apple as thin as I can and just have it on a plate...some apples don't oxidize. Opal apples are pretty new to market and don't brown. I've had one sliced for up to 3 days (usually in a baggie in my car) and it doesn't brown. Sugar free hot cocoa helps with those sweet cravings I also get sugar free werther…
