The most you could hope to lose is two pounds per week, realistically. If you look at the getting started posts, they have a lot of good information.

I would say from looking at your diary that it is quite inconsistent. You don't log your food every day, or some days, or partial days, and that is how you know how much you are taking in. Knowing the calories burned is only half of the equation, and as we have seen, exercise cals here tend to be overestimated. I would log…

If you are not able to get outside much (it is 100+ every day where I live now) I can tell you what has been working for me. I walk at work and at home, just in place quickly, and I have lost 38 pounds since Jan. It really is definitely more about the kitchen, but for me walking inside has been very effective, esp since…

I had no idea how much I was eating. For example, in 2005 I was 152, 2010 was 188, 2015 starting weight 213! So January I bought a food scale, used mpf, got a fitbit. Current weight 176 and still losing a pound every week! Just from knowing how much to put in my body and how much I burn. Thank you food scale!

No. Just no. CICO works all on its own.

Bump for the awesome glass analogy!

You're not going to get a lot of support for that type of thing here. Most of us are here because we tried that and it was never a long term solution. Eat less, move more. Calories in, calories out. These are forever solutions that will keep the weight off.

As of today, 25 pounds down since Jan. 30-50 more to go, depending on what that looks like when I get there!
-
I am on my 100th straight day of logging, and 23 pounds down, 31 more to go for now. But feeling great about it so far, wishing I did it years ago!

This sounds maybe strange, but between CICO and running in place and running on a six inch step, I've lost 20 pounds since mid Jan. Btw I have a young child and full time job, so I get the no time issue for sure! If you can run outside, all the better. Sounds like you have a good plan.

I have the same issue, fitbit gives me 500-600 call every day extra. However, it has not changed my weight-loss. I've lost 17 pounds in two months, and I eat back almost all of my exercise calories. SW 213 CW 196

I have my settings to lose 2 pounds a week, and I have done exactly that for the past eight weeks. And I eat back all my calories. I end the day maybe 50 calories into the green.

I have a fitbit one that you wear on your hip and it works amazingly well for me. I've lost 2 pounds every week for eight weeks.

Log everything that goes in your mouth (food, drinks, condiments, everything) and log your exercise. If you put your goals into mfp, it will tell you how many calories to eat. And you can eat back all of your exercise calories. Just have a positive number at the end of the day (1 calorie left or more). You will lose the…

Check if you have negative adjustments enabled in your diary settings online. If you are using a fitbit, for example, it could adjust your calories down.

I just hit 10 pounds lost on Friday, and that was my first milestone in my mind. I've been logging for about 5.5 weeks, so I'm right on target with my goals. Woo hoo!

I have Leslie's three mile walk DVD, and I cannot listen to the same blah blah of her and the group every week, so I turn it down and pump up music on my phone, to my workout songs.

I have actually tried this, to no results. The honey sticks to your glass, cinnamon doesn't mix in, and it is just disgusting.

Go to goals in the app and click on your weight to change it.

I started at 213 and was 206.2 last week. Hope to be in onederland mid Feb.

My husband is the same way. I basically make three meals, every meal. One for my daughter, myself, and my husband. But I'll tell you, I've been tracking on here for three weeks and have lost seven pounds already. I have been buying myself healthier snacks like Atkins chocolate and almonds, flavored rice cakes, and lots of…
