The Calorific value of protein is the same as carbs. Your body doesn't know the difference of where the calories are coming from so if you think in literal terms you can easily have excess calories without knowing it. Use MFP to help control your deficit

Yep spoke to nutritionist basically he explains when all said and done most shakes contain some form of calories these are what we store as energy excess energy has to go somewhere ???????

Don't see a problem with having protein shakes but as stated in other feeds foods containing high proteins are better. Oh your friend is kinda right your body can only absorb a certain amount of protein and can stor the rest if you don't exercise or use it then your body could I repeat could turn it to fat over time.

Thanks all for ya comments it has helped me understand more. I do try to keep a high protein low-ish carb diet as kewierschke2 I get up at daft o'clock some days too early to eat. I weigh as I go so I know what is in my portion size is done. Just made a a chilli bake weighed each item individually through to the end of the cook proces then weighed it all together again and then devided in to indevidual portion sizes with the exact amount of calories for each one

So true and totally agree with this. Also what would you do if friends ask you round for dinner would you ask can you make it before 8 ??

Try to be honest and log all that I eat good or bad as I feel why not log when all said and done you are only lying to yourself and is that really lying as you already know ????

I know it's a little late but yes it is more achievable than you know. Close monitoring of your calorie intake very close, for this short space of time don't eat back your exercise as 300 cal is o good deficit against your 1200 intake. Just remember that we are all different and what works for me/them may not work for you.

Vismal do think it is a good idea to train on empty stomach? Would this assist the body to use the stored reserved energy (fat) or am I thinking wrong?
