  • Thanks for the link. :) I did some body weight exercises this morning for the first time in ages and I swear I just about died lol. I'm on a 1200kcal plan, which I know a lot of people here don't like but I'm pretty short and it's only about 300-400 below maintenance for me. If I don't eat back my exercise calories then I…
  • That's an interesting experiment, although I don't particularly feel like being as miserable as those guys for four weeks LOL. But I think I will do what NorthCascades suggested and invest in some resistance bands for the time being. I like the idea of them because they're compact and I can take them with me when I travel.…
  • Oh and an added note I have some dumbells at home. Will they help?
  • One time, after I'd finished a pretty intense workout, I was exhausted and my legs were all wobbly. I had my headphones on and I'd just taken a drink out of the water fountain before heading to the locker room to get my stuff. I walked into the wrong locker room. I was so zoned out that I didn't even realise what I'd done…
  • I bought my fitbit hr on ebay for like $45 (not sure if that's in your price range?). It was new, too. I would check ebay and other reseller sites once you've decided what you want since it does knock a pretty big chunk off the price (just make sure you check the reputation of the seller first).
  • I have awesome over-ear headphones but maybe earbuds would be better. It's really gross when you take them off and they're all sweaty and damp. Sound is great though, and they're bluetooth so no cables (though there is a port for an AUX cable in case you run out of battery). I don't know if you're allowed to post links…
  • I heard a number somewhere that every gram of glycogen requires three grams of water, so my logic is that less glycogen = less water. Which would be great, because I feel a bit like a balloon today. :)
  • I know what you mean, I'm down like three and a half pounds in six weeks since this thread got started (maintenance is about 1400 or so). It's hard because sometimes you don't know if it's actual weight loss or just daily fluctuations.
  • I know what you mean, big calculus exam this week and definitely not looking forward to it. =/ My go-to for midterms dinner is campbells cream of chicken (the healthy request one) and like half a bag of frozen spinach or broccoli. Even if you dump in the entire spinach bag the meal itself is still less than 300kcals. And…
  • Worst week ever guys. Back injury + muscle swelling + stomach bug bloat = I'm up 2 pounds since Monday. Nearly 3. What do? :(
  • Yeah my bad, I entered a different username. It's fixed now. Is anybody else in uni right now? Getting slammed by midterms this week.
  • I only want to lose 10 but I joined the doc. :) I am short, female and a programmer (so very sedentary!). My BMR is about 1200. =/
