I have the implant and have done for a year (9 years also before the most recent one) in January I decided to make a concerted effort to loose weight and get healthier and I've lost 41lbs through healthy eating and exercise. So it's not gonna stop you when you put your mind to it. :-) x

I'd recommend looking into kojac noodles, they are sold it a few shops these days under brand names like 'eat water' or zero noodles. Coconut flour is a amazing. I make either 'pancakes' or 'porridge'. Two teaspoons of coconut flour, a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon to taste, bit of vanilla essence. That's the base for both.
