  • Well done! So many people want to lose weight quickly and, when you tell them that you've been at it for a long time, they can't be bothered. I've been using MFP for over 2 years and have managed to lose 32 lbs. I would like to lose a bit more but I am maintaining at the moment. It's become second nature now to log all my…
  • You can definitely see the difference, you look really good. Well done!
  • I've just clocked up 801 miles on Map my Walk. It's taken me since March 2015 because I can only manage 1 - 2 miles at a time but, I'm very pleased with myself.
  • Hi there, I'm 60 in a few months time and have gone from 172 lbs to 138 lbs with the help of this excellent app. It's taken me 2 years but, it does work, as long as you weigh your food and stick within the calorie allowance that MFP allocates to you. Good luck!
  • Well done! It doesn't sound pathetic at all. Just look at how much easier you are finding it now. Congratulations, I wish you all the best.
  • Hi Lisa, you can change it by selecting the item you need on the drop down list and adjusting the quantity. Good luck!
  • Good luck! I think 20lbs in 13 weeks is possible. MFP is a great tool and has helped me lose 35 lbs, although, it has taken me quite a while. I wasn't in any great rush though. I wish you all the best.
  • Hi there, just to say that it's not impossible. I'm 59 (60 in December) and I've lost 2 1\2 stone (35 lbs) in 2 years with the help of MFP. I try to stay within my calorie limit and my only exercise is walking daily. There are lots of people on here who are older than us who have lost weight successfully. I could be your…
  • Hi there, well done on losing 40kg, that's excellent.
  • Hello Michael, I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling at the moment. At least you've made the decision to try to get healthier. I had a heart attack in January 2014 followed 4 weeks later by a stroke. I wasn't particularly overweight but I was a smoker and a drinker. All changed now though. I joined MFP in June of the…
  • Well done on the 5 mile walk. You're off to a good, positive start. Good luck!
  • I can imagine how disappointed you were but, at least you've started again. Well done! You can do it again. Good luck.
  • Well done and I also love your dress. You must be so pleased.
  • Well done, you must be so pleased.
  • Hi, you can add me too, if you'd like to? I'm from South Wales. I've been using MFP for 2 years and have managed to lose 31lbs. I've been stuck for a good while but, to be honest, I haven't been really strict lately. I've decided to have one more attempt at losing the final 8 lbs. I'm going to stay within my calorie…
  • I wish you all the best. I am doing intermittent fasting. I don't eat breakfast or lunch, except on the very occasional day. I eat all my calorie allowance between 1700 + 2000 hours. I find that this works for me but, obviously, everyone is different. My only exercise is a daily walk, usually 1 - 11\2 miles. 30 to 40…
  • I'm 59 and I've managed to lose 32 lbs using MFP. It's taken me 18 months but, it really is worth the time and effort. I'll be your friend, if you'd like? I'm on here every day and can offer encouragement and support.
  • Well done, that's brilliant! All the best!
  • Hi there, I had a heart attack 2 years ago followed, 4 weeks later, by a stroke! I am left with a weakness on my left side. My only exercise is walking (slowly, haha!) I have lost 31 lbs using MFP so, it can be done. I wish you all the best in your recovery.
  • Well done! That's over 2lbs per week. Congratulations. I love reading all the stories too.
  • Hello, Colin from Cornwall! I'm also from UK but, unfortunately, not Cornwall! I'm on here everyday. Welcome and good luck!
  • I'll be your friend if you'd like? We appear to have similar names! That's a good sign! I'm here daily.
  • Well done on getting started. MFP is very good and you will get lots of support and encouragement. Once you see the weight coming off, you'll be encouraged to carry on. Maybe set yourself small goals of 10lbs at a time? I wish you all the best.
  • Hi David, I think you'll find loads of help on here. Not much from me, I'm afraid, except, I also have a left sided weakness due to a stroke nearly 2 years ago and I've lost 2st3 lbs using MFP since June 2014. My only exercise is walking (slowly, haha!). Good luck to you.
  • Well, you've done it before so, hopefully, you'll do it again! I've been using MFP since June 2014 and I've lost 31lbs, I would still like to lose another 5lbs. I think you'll find that most people on here (myself included) would say that it's a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I wish you all the best, I'm sure you can…
  • That sounds like a good plan. Maybe a small reward when you lose 10 lbs? Once you start losing the weight using MFP, you will be amazed at how quickly it comes off! There's lots of encouragement on here. I'm a 59 year old granny too, I'll be your friend, if you'd like me to?
  • Well done Rebecca! Keep up the good work!
  • I'm 59 and I've managed to lose 2 stone(28lbs, i'm in UK!) over 18 months with the help of MFP. My only exercise has been walking. Good luck! I'll encourage you if you like.
  • I wish you all the best. If you can quit drinking and smoking, losing weight and getting fit should be easy. Being an ex smoker and ex drinker myself, I would say that you've done the hardest two things. Good luck!
