Seconded. Ditch StrongLifts for Starting Strength. SS has more robust programming and coaching support. Rippetoe regularly publishes coaching content on his YouTube channel and a podcast. Read the books while your at it.

Tapering for a meet while cutting (12 pounds) and my RPE for my openers has consistently become easier, ie from a 7.5 or 7 to a 6 or 5.5. So no, you do not necessarily become weaker.

See the thing is, I am okay with the nudity — even though I turn into a five year old at the thought. What I bristle at that training nude adds nothing. It doesn’t speed up the rate of adaptation, nor does it speed up recovery. It superfluous marketing. Just picturing what the knurl on my barbell would do my stark naked…

Is your next meet the Pure Fitness open? Yeah, I plan on three meets a year now, now that last year's BS is over and I can get on a regular on/off season training schedule which I hope to plan out sometime in the next two weeks with the meets picked in advance.

Without running your numbers, your 295 lbs bench 1RM at your body weight probably puts you out of a novice program. You’re an intermediate and need subsequent programming to further your gains.

Its not rippling abs or head turning booty, but this week peaking has been great. Hit an all time squat of 445 lbs and deadlift of 545 lbs. I’ve battled through injury the last 23 months slowly building to this moment. 545 lbs above
