I want to wear those strappy one pieces! Good luck!

Try carbonated water like La Croix, it is a good alternative to soda bc it has no sugar or aspartame. It also tastes pretty good for what it is, my favorite is lemon.

Pasta, rice and breads are high in carbs, it's really easy to eat them in excess. But if you portion diligently, it's fine just like anything else. Moderation. Eating out is kind of tricky, you can be under your calories but the salt is usually what gets people, me included. It usually screws the heck out of water…

A lot, men and women alike. Maybe it's because I look like a high schooler or seem demure . It's usually when I'm out doing something mundane like trying to get to restroom at work. Don't necessarily appreciate be it's usually really inconvenient and sometimes persistently creepy.

I don't have enough know how to be a nerd, not enough tech stuff to be a geek. Got the social graces of all those though. I like rpgs and Game of Thrones. Good luck!

I kind of think it's fun, in a weird I like to see how much food I eat kind of way. I learn something new every day. Maybe try by ratios? 3:2:2:1, carbs, meat, veggie and other? I do that for portions when prepping lunchboxes.

I meal plan for the day before, I'm good at guessing what I want to do and what I'd like to eat. I know the feeling of getting things to stick. I'll log on everyday, stop for a week and forget for months. Trying to stay ambitious!

Hi! I've been using MFP for a while but I never used the forum until recently. Strongest motivation is yourself, I believe. Good luck!

That's an ambitious goal, you can do it! Anyone else feel free to add me too.

I know for sure, Asian/foreign parents can be like that. Everyone on my father's side is insistent that being a little chubby is a good thing. Because they grew up with not enough, also being well fed is attributed to doing well financially. At 120+lbs, my grandma was very happy but teetering at around 110 she doesn't…

I don't think there is an ideal weight for that height, I am about the same height, 113 lb however I'm working to get a more toned physique and tighten my poochy belly. @ThatMouse;; I kind of have the same situation. My grandparents on both sides have diabetes and liver problems as well. Lost a grandparent on both sides…

I agree w/ herrspoons, you should swallow your pride and ask for help. The doctors job is to help you be healthy, not judge. It's better to get help then let things fester for too long.

I don't think healthy eating is just limited to eating fruits and veggies, but eating things that are more wholesome and packed w/ nutrients vs. fillers and miscellaneous additives. Taking a whole food vitamin could help you out w/ getting more nutrients. But then you have to up your water and vitamin c intake so that you…

I'm in it for building strength too! Losing the jiggle is just a cool side effect. Feel free to add. I love talking about health and vitamins. I'm starting to do full body workouts and cardio after each session. So far, so good.

Weight training for me causes water weight but it usually sorts itself after a few weeks. But I usually can fend it off w/ apple cider vinegar, eating potassium rich foods and tea. Maybe it's water retention? Muscles are heavier than fat. Maybe use a tape measure and log your measurements every few weeks?

If I feel hunger pangs I try and drink water and wait a while. Bc, sometimes it thirst. If it keeps on, I'll have a snack. I eat very large towards the start of the day and have snacks and smaller meals throughout. Sometimes I don't feel hungry so I'll skip some snacks.

Nuts! Pistachios and macadamias especially. I like having almond butter w/ toast or apples, too. Kefir or yogurt w/ muesli is good too, if you're wary of fat content. Easy breakfast.

For me, I always look forward to tomorrow and think about how much stronger I am than the day before and how much I can achieve moving forward. I fly solo, but I'd rather do this for myself than wait on flaky friends /gym partners. I think reminding yourself of your goals and thinking about progress goes a long way. It's…
