Hi ladies, I think you should cut yourself some slack first and foremost! Looking after kids is a workout in itself, let's be honest. If you can get them in a buggy and go for a good walk great, if it's wet put on some wellies and jump in puddles or chase them around a park. I know there are alot of people on here saying I…

Try 'Lakeland' website for stay fresh sandwich bags, keeps salad and veggies fresh for longer.

Another tall lass here. 5'11". At 280lbs my knees hurt and my heart was always racing. People definitely see you as not being 'fat' just big framed or the dreaded big boned when you are this tall. I've lost 10 - 12lb in 3 weeks, my scales vary from day to day. It's not rocket science and you don't need to feel deprived,…

I've had one of those days today, where I should of tried harder, but hey, when the idea of making some butter icing and eating it 'just because you can' is in my head, nothing is going to stop me.. I know that I've blown my calories for the day, but tomorrow 40 minutes of swimming and 5 miles on the tread mill will put me…

Hi, I have one most days for lunch with ham and a packet of low calorie crisps, approx 190 calories for the tortilla and it's the only bread product that I eat. To be honest, as long as I'm within a good range of my calories, I don't think it's any problem. It's quick and convenient, and if I had to hang around to long…

Eat before you go out, you'll save a fortune

I've only been poppering my coat to fasten it as doing the zip was a little too tight and I didn't want to bust it.. Anyway, as I bent down on Friday to pick up a bag, my tummy didn't force the coat to un- pop!!

I had a bit of a piggy day last Friday, then felt rotten about it, so got my packets out of the bin and scanned them all. I new I had to track what I had eaten to be accountable for it, then when the scales go up I can look back and see why. Next time I have a piggy day, I'm going to save a few calories from the days…

Hi, I'm 42 and I feel it's more of a lifestyle change now. I'm currently 268lb however when I was 18 I attended meeting for a very low carb diet group and got down to 147lbs.. I had to work really hard back then and it was never in a million years going to be sustained, I've come to realise that as a mum, I take what I can…

I just slap on my night cream and go to sleep..

Oh oh oh and.. You're so tall, you carry you're weight well, you're fine as you are! Arghhh! Try telling that to my knees when they are struggling to get me up the stairs.. Been on this 30 days now, lost 10lbs.. Knees are loving it ;)

I tried slimming world diet.. What a flippin laugh., telling me 'Mrs always been over weight' that I can eat as much pasta, jackets potatoes and as many bananas as I like.. Do you know how much I can eat!! I eat until it's coming back up my neck, I never feel full,I have no cut off switch.. I gained weight. !!!!

Amazing stuff. You took ownership for your health and you have probably gained back years!! Well done, an inspiration for us all. This is something that from reading success stories everyday, I think I can safely say.. we all need to be in this for life, no more fads, just a little thought, consideration and respect for…

Hi, just a thought regarding the back pain issue, do you think that as you are losing body 'padding' that perhaps your mattress isn't offering you the best support. Flip it or put some board under as a cheap option maybe? I know that mine needs replacing and the back ache makes me grumpy ☹️

Because the weather has turned chilly I can now wear a pair of leggings under my jeans to keep a little warmer. I've only lost 10lbs, but I was considering buying bigger jeans prior to losing, glad I didn't and saved my money

Fantastic work, a job very well done. I love a success story, especially the phrases that are chosen to describe ones journey. Good luck to yourself and to anyone reading this, keep fighting the fight, day by day. Obesity is a battle that we can all win. X

Congratulations to you! Weight loss is weight loss and any success story is a good read in my mind..

I've lost 10lb since starting December 28th. At 5'11 starting weight 280lb those 10lb aren't even noticeable in my clothes, however, walking the stairs has become less painful on my knees.

The incredible shrinking man! Woweeeeee X

Ah! I had this very conversation with my diet class leader 20 years ago! Her answer was, don't worry about the eggs, but I bet you never questioned the cholesterol in a mars bar!! Food for thought lol!

Wowzers!! And how many people you know have walked straight past you in the street?? You look amazing, a different person! Well done you and thank you for sharing your success x

Totally agree. I set out a plan for me and hubby to calorie count (up to 3 weeks in advance), and a separate one for the children as they don't always eat with us. It's the best.. Saves arguments over meals, saves time and money too. I log my evening meals in advance and as breakfast is mostly the same, this allows me to…

A year of logging, now that is fantastic. I'm aiming for a 100 day streak which is approximately the end of March, that's my first goal and I'll be so so proud of myself if I do it! To be fair I never do anything for myself so it's about time that I did and with all of the support, success stories and this fab app, the…

Hi, I can relate to everything that you wrote. I look at my ultra slim sister and think ' why me'?? why??? Because she eats 2 sandwiches, I eat 4!! That's why.. Because she loves excercise and I hate it, that's why.. But I'm me!! 42 years old and need to stop thinking that life is unfair and take responsibility for me!!…

Thank you!! I tried mfp last year and lost 18lbs then piled it all back on. Once Christmas was out of the way this year I knew I had to just get on with it. I'm 5'11' female who has been uk size 20 for approx 10 years. I'm 42 years old and my body is starting to feel it's age. I'm always amazed at how differently people…

Well done on losing 100lbs!! That's truly amazing. You certainly have the right attitude going forward. I started December 28th at 280lbs and I'm sticking to my calories and incorporating exercise but the scales are not being friendly.. My attitude is that it works for everyone else and I am no different, and if I'm…

Well done on your success, you look beautiful. I totally understand when you say you weren't sure if you would be able to do it. I'm just starting out and going strong, sincerely hope I can live up to your standard. I take my hat off to you X
