holy cow, you are GORGEOUS! great work! such a good example for your daughter, that mommy is worth taking the time and attention for herself, her health, her fitness and her self-esteem :)

thank you for sharing, even the difficult bits. many of us have similar stories, secrets, pain, and the only way to conquer them is to be open about it, deal with it, and move on! which is precisely what you've been doing. so congratulations on all your success, you look great. :)

i wore a halter wedding dress from david's bridal. very marilyn-monroe-esque. it was the perfect length if i was flat-footed but with my heels it needed to be altered. of course, i bought my dress last minute and did not have time for the alterations to come in, therefore i scrapped my plan of wearing heels and wore some…

i have a beautiful oxblood long coat from h&m. thirty dollars a few years ago and has held up beautifully. i'm 5'11" and very picky and it has definitely lived up to my standards :)

i'm 5'11" and definitely large-frame. have always had a hard time with rings/bracelets/anklets/necklaces even when 180-ish lbs in high school... my bones are literally big. as are my entire family's. my highest weight (as far as i know since i avoided scales like the plague) was 295 when i was full-term pregnant. i dropped…

not necessarily sugar-free, but i've found that flavored soy/almond/hazelnut milks are AMAZING in coffee.

you look AMAZING! damn girl, that last dress is some HOT STUFF! great job! moms can have such guilt sometimes, feeling bad to take time away from kids to workout or log our dinners, while we try to remind ourselves: "i am setting a good example. i am getting healthy so i can be around for long-term motherhood." WHEW i know…

i weigh in with my wii and have for 60 pounds now :)... this part is embarrassing, but hey, we're among friends here..... i flip my coffee table upside down and put the balance board on that rather than weigh in on the carpet :) GHETTO but effective. carpet can have a huge difference, even with leg extenders. i brought my…

driver's lic pic, taken november 2008. probably pushing 300, but have no idea, avoided scales like the plague (i'm 5'11" and liked to think i 'carried it well') work ID pic taken april 2012, after 8 months of MFP and roughly 45 lbs lost (maybe 70 lbs from my heaviest) today, 60 official pounds from MFP starting weight 13…

i'm 5'11"and have been at this for exactly a year now... pretty solid progress so far -- definitely check out the TTW (totally tall women) of MFP group. lots of support there. but i'm accepting new friends... make sure to attach a note explaining how awesome you are :) cuz i'm awesome too! lol

it's been a long time coming, but i finally realized that this is my behavior too. we all just need support. a community forum is a good idea, but we also need to support OURSELVES. what do i mean by that? .... what i've been trying to do, with some degree of success, is just start by being more mindful. DO i want this…
