It's definitely got a dance feel to it, so if you like Zumba you'd probably like it too! You can friend-request me if you have any more questions! :)

Amazing work!

So far I've done TurboKick, Focus T25 and Insanity Max:30. Really enjoy all of them - looking at PiYo or Body Beast next.

First off - don't starve yourself! Eat enough so you're not hungry - but make it the right foods. This is 80% diet, 20% fitness so start there. You can snack - but snack healthy. It's a mental game. Don't feel like working out? Think about how much better you'll feel AFTER your workout.
-
You're looking at muscle inflammation right there - especially if you're jumping right into working out twice a day. Giving your body a chance to get used to this new routine and don't weigh yourself constantly - it will just mess with you mentally. Weigh every 1-2 weeks if you want, but this is a marathon, not a sprint!

Agree with small goals! Why don't you just look at diet right now and maybe when your baby is a bit older start looking at a fitness routine. You can increase your exercise by just walking more/taking the stairs at work, etc. Don't set unreasonable expectations! You've got a newborn so be good to yourself! Try to sleep (I…

If you don't eat back any of your exercise calories try eating back half for a week or so and see what happens!

It's really all mental most of the time. You've plateaued, so that's going to be your first big mental challenge. You've mixed up the workout, now play with your calories a bit. You may need to go UP a bit! You'll get through this. Giving up is NOT an option.

My husband is an athlete and has been his entire life - college football player, national champion in javelin, etc. He has his "workout" he's always done and has the body to prove it works for him. But - he eats like CRAP! He's lucky - he's 36 and it hasn't caught up with him... yet. He's always talking about how badly he…

I take classes that incorporate weights and TRX and I always log those as circuit training aka doing a range of different types of strength/bodyweight/cardio.

You can have pizza - just be smart about it! Maybe make your own without cheese and piled with veggies?
-
Hi everyone! Congrats on taking that first step! I'd be happy to serve as a motivator for any of you.
-
The hardest part is taking that first step! Nice work sticking with it! That's mental toughness right there.
-
Are you eating back any of those exercise calories? 1200 is awfully low. I aim for 1300-1400. You actually may want to start eating more.

THIS X10000000

My first thought is "that's too few calories!" Especially if you're working out a minimum of 5 times a week @ 30 minutes and you're always under. Try to eat back about half of your exercise calories and see if that helps! Don't starve your body!

We can help you with best - but stop thinking about FAST. Slow and steady wins this race. It's about more than just losing weight - it's about getting healthy and doing it in a way you can maintain for the rest of your life! It's 80% diet, 20% exercise - so start there. Focus on your diet and start moving more. Don't try…

I'd be happy to help mentor you! I also have a sedentary desk job. Feel free to send me a friend request!

Really depends on what you're interested in - bodyweight training or do you want to start lifting? Lots of options out there for both!
-
Upbeat - TurboKick or TurboFire. That will get you moving! Shorter/Intense - Focus T25.
-
I did T25 through Gamma and am now working on Insanity Max:30 - it felt like a natural move up to me, so I'd recommend that!

Yeah those symptoms would = no workout for me! Don't need to pass out while working out!
-
YouTube workout videos - or grab some DVD's for days like this!
-
I'm currently running one on Facebook. Feel free to message me for details!

All the videos I've done - TurboKick, T25, Insanity Max:30, 30 Day Shred, etc. have a modifier for folks who can't jump. Squats you'd have to modify on your own.
