Heck yes I'm in!

I just can't bear to try it. It's so expensive!

Kansas City!

I bet sweet potato would be awesome, it's like the one thing I haven't spiralized yet :) A lot of people like shirataki or tofu shirataki noodles. They're ok if you rinse the bejesus out of them, but I find them cost prohibitive. Have you tried spaghetti squash? I also like broccoli slaw in place of noodles in stir-fry and…

I'm a former vegan, but I'm a vegetarian and don't use much dairy. I do use eggs but not every day. I do have a ton of recipes I'm happy to share. Also I recommend the vegan category on budgetbytes.com! She is awesome! I leave my diary open and am happy to talk recipes and have more myfitbesspal...pals!

I'm losing with IF because it's much easier for me to "put off" eating until later. If I snack all day I'm just hungry all day, no matter what those calories are comprised of. Whatever floats your boat, my friend!

When someone refers to watching their own children as "babysitting". Yes, it's usually a noncustodial father, but I've heard both genders do this

Insanity is my old faithful but I like T25 or Insanity Max 30 as well.

I want to crash this party!

Hello and welcome! You have the winning attitude, and with mfp as a tool, you're going to get where you want to go. Feel free to add me if you'd like. I keep my food diary open and I am making an effort to share recipes!
-
^exactly. Motivation gets us started but habit is key. Set up your goal and log everything you consume that has calories. Your goal is definitely attainable. Feel free to add me if you'd like

Feel free to add me! I'm happy to help and I keep my diary open and share recipes when I remember to!
-
Added! You are so right about keeping track and being accountable. With either my financial budget or my calorie budget, if I'm just estimating how I'm doing I am WRONG!
-
I do IF and some days (today for instance) I'm full on 900 cals. But I have plenty of days where I am voracious enough that it offsets that and more if I'm not careful. I don't think I could lose if I did it without tracking, but your situation is unique. You might see what works, and make sure you're tracking your weight…

I would love more friends to liven up my mfp feed! I keep my diary open and I like to share recipes (when I remember to!)

There is always a battle between ways of thinking. Western medicine is dismissive of eastern medicine, until they accidentally discover that some root they've been using to treat toothaches in Burma or whathaveyou actually has a provable effect. Holistic nutrition may not be without its merits, depending on the legitimacy…

Definitely figuring out how to eat foods I would normally overeat. I would still overeat them in some circumstances, but I prevent that by drinking water/filling up on veggies before eating whatever rich food I would typically overeat. I also used to give up on logging quickly because I make nearly everything my family and…

I went through that and stopped using mine for awhile. I went back to it after a bit because I don't even try to log my exercises manually and I like to see the calories I earn by exercising. It's my saving grace because even though I don't 100% trust calorie burn estimates, if I have a day I'm starving but I can see I…

Hello! I used to have a policy if only having "real-life" mfp pals (as in people I actually knew outside of mfp). However none of them were ever on here for more than a week! I've since adopted a "the more the merrier!" philosophy. I keep my diary open and I am an open book of sorts myself. I like to talk recipes and share…

Feel free to add me! I keep my diary open, and I am also an open book. I don't do it every day, but I do love to share recipes.
-
Feel free to add me! I log daily and keep my diary open. It isn't always pretty :) but I love to share recipes and stuff!
-
I'll take all the pals I can get! I log daily and keep my diary open. Also happy to talk recipes 'n' stuff
-
Gah, I can't type. Disregard. Or add me, though I posted that a few posts back. Sorry!
-
I'll send a request. I keep my diary open and I'm a food nerd. Always happy to talk about whatever I'm cookin' and share recipes. Not to hijack OPs thread but I'd happily accept invites too... if that's not cool I'll remove that part!
-
I'd love more buddies! I'm a fitbit user... I keep my diary open... And I share recipes... When I remember to

I will sometimes make 30 or so meals ahead of time and freeze them to keep myself from being tempted. First I save the recipes in mfp (which are components of the meals), then I put meals together (as in literally, and I enter the ingredients for the meal into mfp). When I grab one out of my freezer, I go to the meals tab…

I'm with the folks that would be really hungry after just having some cereal. I'm not a brekky eater but if I did have that, I would also be hungry right after. I find eggs or oatmeal to be more filling and therefore more worth the calories I have to budget. You'll quickly start to learn what makes you feel fuller longer…

Good for you for exercising. (I feel like I sound sarcastic when I say that, but I'm being sincere!) You're on the right track. As the above poster said, you can usually only safely lose 2 pounds a week if you have a lot to lose (I'm in that category, and it still isn't always that much) the best best best thing you can do…
-
Have you input your data into mfp and set it to lose 2 pounds per week?

Even when I enlisted back in the days of yore (2005) there was a training program on the website for whichever branch you're joining. Even starting from sedentary. That's a great starting point if that's still around!
