Several people commented on my weight loss at a get together last night. Good to know my hard work is showing even on the days I feel like it's not!

I'm curious to know if I'll feel this way at goal weight as well. I can understand the fear and I'm with you. Pregnancy is not pleasant .
-
I enjoy pre made Premier Protein shakes. The chocolate is good. I've tried others like Muscle Milk and thought they tasted terrible.
-
Thanks. I'm considering taking up some yoga and trying to practice more mindfulness
-
Same here. I've lost about 71 and still have at least 85 to go so no negative comments yet.

Definitely use a food scale if you aren't already. You have to be very, very accurate that close to goal weight because your deficit is so small.
-
I hear that. Someone argued with me the other day that my protein intake is far too high at 100g while in the same breath told me her adult daughter is on a 500 cal diet. What?! Lol
-
We are all so different. See I get excited. Let me pull up a chair. :D

Thanks for the insight. I'm currently 218 and my goal weight is 130 to start. (5'3). Currently set to 2 pounds a week but will be changing to 1.5/week at 205 and so on as I get closer to goal weight.

I didn't say a nutritional diet can't be achieved in a deficit. I think you're looking for something that isn't there. I was not sure if it is stressful on the body to be in a deficit for so long but I am sure that pregnancy takes a lot from my body. And my stress hormones are currently high according to my last labs. I'm…

I'm clearly not going to stop losing weight. I'm 70 pounds down and pretty invested in the process if you haven't seen me in other threads . The conundrum is that I wouldn't want to chance another pregnancy if it were just going to be too much stress on my body. I didn't know if there was any science behind multiple…

Thank you for the replys! I focus on meeting my macros most of the time and take a multivitamin :) Great suggestion to figure out maintenance first.

They don't really answer these types of questions over the phone and I'm not going to pay for an appointment for something we may or may not do in a few years, but this is a valid response. Maybe I'll just have to ask when the time comes. If it does.

I feel the same about formally obese people judging currently obese people. Easy to judge when you've got a nice new tool belt
-
This will not teach you the tools you need for long term success. I highly recommend eating at a deficit and logging with MFP regularly instead of doing a restrictive challenge with arbitrary rules. Down 70 pounds since April. Getting excited to set myself at 1.5 a week here in 15 pounds!!
-
I thought this too. For whatever reason if I eat breakfast I'm ravenous all day long .
-
I like your attitude .
-
I miss smoking MJ so bad but I quit about 4 months into my journey because boy is it hard to stick to your calorie goal when you have the munchies. :o
-
If you want to lose water weight just watch your carbs and sodium and drink lots of water
-
If it makes you feel better I'm still totally in slob status. 70 pounds down and more to lose! Ha
-
And if you want to get fit I'd look into lifting.
-
You do realize that most people here are former slobs right? :D Uh ya, you're weight is fabulous. Anyways, you could focus on hitting your macros ( protein, carbs, fat) & still fit in treats if that appeals to you
-
I remember being there at one point <3
-
May I ask why you are cutting out fat & carbs?
-
Definitely a struggle no matter the direction the scale needs to go :'(
-
I so love the irony in this non scale victory
-
Yes this is true. I meant for someone under weight that needed to gain 10 to 20. I was actually telling my husband it'll probably take me at least a year longer than I anticipated to reach goal weight because of the things you mentioned. Especially with no wiggle room!!
-
Okay well brushing my teeth before I go to bed is part of the routine lmao
-
For trigger foods like chocolate I will save it for right before bed so I get a nice treat in and then I'm heading to bed so I can't over eat and obsess about having a 2nd serving
-
Yes exactly! Most of my days are focused more on macros and lower calorie foods so high volume spread out during the day But I sure do enjoy my rarely planned splurge dinners
