My mini goal is to weigh less on New Years Day than I weigh today. Even if it is a half pound, it means I did not gain over the holidays. This will be the first time ever for me to lose between Thanksgiving and the new year.

I think these last 6 pounds are going to be harder than the first 75, but I am determined!

I completed my first half marathon yesterday. I had two goals--run the whole way and finish in under 2 hours and 30 minutes. I met both goals. Two years ago I was one of those "I'll only run if a bear is chasing me," people.

Hi from Apex, NC. I'm working on getting my body where I want it and then staying there this time. Add me as another NC gal.

Does your school have a track? I am an assistant principal at an elementary school across the street from a high school with a track around their football field. I bring my workout clothes and walk across the street to the track when my work day is done. I try to go two days a week on afternoons when I don't have meetings.…

^^This! I am struggling with this time of year because it is so focused on food. Recognize what you are doing differently from your previous holidays. For me, it was permission to mindlessly eat anything and everything from Halloween until the new year when I would promise to "start my diet." I still find myself eating…

Forgiving myself and loving myself enough to be kind to me even when I have slipped up has been the best lesson I've learned. I have had plenty of days when I have been WWWAAAYYY over on calories and have still managed to lose 76 pounds. Stay the…

I ran for 60 minutes on my treadmill. That's the longest time I have ever run without having to take a walk break (or three).

I ran five miles today! I have never run that far.

This is the first Halloween EVER (including my childhood celebrations) that I have not eaten candy until I was sick to my stomach and then kept eating anyway.

Goals met and attack survived. Same goals next week.

I'm working through the ending of a 20+ year marriage. I blast Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger" and sing along when I am in the car. I probably look like a nut to other drivers, but I don't care. Remember to love yourself through all of this. Hugs to you!

Team Daryl/Carol Met goals and survived attack I'm keeping the same goals this week so they can become habits.

Daryl all the way! Goals this week: 1) stay under my calorie goal 5 out of 7 days. 2) run on the treadmill at least 30 minutes three times this week. 3) eat veggies every day this week.
