Yesterday was Mother's Day and I ate however much of whatever I wanted to eat. My lovely children made chicken alfredo baked ziti with steamed broccoli and Brazilian cheese puffs. I had two helpings and two slices of hummingbird cake (not in one sitting). All of that, I did not work out, and I did not feel the least bit of…

I am 5'2" and started this journey January 2015 at 181lbs. Today, 5/9/2015, I am at 166.4. My weight does fluctuate as I have been down to 164.6 but I am doing a lot of strength training and mixing in some cardio. I am very happy with my progress because I look better and feel better. My clothes that didn't fit before, fit…

You look great!!! Focus more on the positives because we are all going through or have been through a transformation and are a work in progress. Sometimes, in our own eyes, we look a hot mess and other times we like what we see. While we are focused on the hot mess, we are missing all of the good changes. I'm sure you are…

Congratulations!!! I have been on week 9 of a 12 week strength training program and I am seeing similar results. You have inspired me to not give up. I like what you said about form. Lately I have been focusing more on form than increasing weights and I do notice a difference. My body even responds better.

Consider pre-cooking chicken breast, slice it up and freeze what you don't want to use right away. It's great for salads, sandwiches, and even just to snack on.

You look great!!! I am so happy for you.

Congratulations!!! You look absolutely fabulous. You look younger and happier too. Well done, Danni.

All of you ladies look fantastic. You are making or have made tremendous progress. I am 5'2". I started weighing about mid January at 181lbs I have gotten down to 164.2. I am noticing the scale going up but I am still losing inches and looking better in my clothes. I am doing quite a bit of weight training in conjunction…

I agree with the others. You want to do your best to look good for the wedding but don't sacrifice your health for a day. I noticed my biggest losses by lifting weights, keeping my calories at a safe deficit, and drinking lots of water. Those losses are often in the form of inches rather than pounds, meaning that clothes…

Since I have started using a program from the bodybuilding.com website, I am much more motivated because I have structure and a plan.

I want to feel comfortable in my own skin and be able to go to the doctor without them telling me I am obese.

They use lots of butter and salt. I know a cook and was amazed at how good his hashbrowns were. He said he only uses butter. You can't get that crunch with olive oil. I have learned though, that I can get a golden crunchy crust on my hashbrowns and breaded pork chops (lean center cut) by adding a little coconut oil to…

I'm not embarrassed to wear shorts that don't come to my knees.

I have had big thighs all my life, even when I was 115lbs. I think my thighs will always rub. I am working to get rid of the non-muscular jiggle. wink:

Yaaaassss!!! That is why I'm late going out for my run now. Gotta go.

Congratulations! I'm very happy for you!!! :D

I'm 5'2". I started at 181lbs in the beginning of January and am now at 169.2. I am working toward a goal of 160, for now. My next goal is 142, then 135, depending on how 142 looks on me. I have to break my goals up otherwise they just seem to daunting.

This looks really good.

I am really enjoying the journey. Today is a rare exception. I was off for my run and looked to the left to wave at a biker passing by. Then, all of a sudden I found myself falling to the ground. Yes, I tripped on uneven sidewalk and busted both knees and scraped the palms of my hands as I slid on the sidewalk. Although,…

I am a foodie. I really, really like food. I just had to learn that I don't have to eat it all at once. No, I wasn't a glutton but I have to say, my portions were more than a serving size and I had to have sweets everyday. When I decided to make a definite change at the beginning of the year, I decided to cut out sweets…

I usually get a warning about how it is not healthy for a female to consume less than 1200 calories when I go under. I guess I got too busy yesterday and didn't realize that I had only taken in 900 calories. That included a little fun size butterfinger heart :o at work. I will be more careful to at least take in 1200…

This sounds fantastic. I'll have to give it a try.

Have you tried probiotics or digestive enzymes?

Candy bars. I could get into a rut where I have one everyday. So far, this month, I've had only 3 single portion pieces (2 from a candy assortment box and 1/2 of 1 big cup Resees). The best thing is, I don't really crave them like I have been known to. If I do, I have that small portion and keep it moving.

I have one and I love it!!! It was a Christmas gift from my hubby. I find that I am much more active. Using the Garmin Vivofit and MFP have really kept me on my toes and makes this journey so much fun.

Way to go! I'm so happy for you. You have certainly given me some ideas.
