Hmm it's difficult with SW as you don't weigh food. To lose weight you have to eat at a deficit. Perhaps try weighing and logging your food if you aren't already doing so? :)

I've been down this weight loss road so many times. I was and I say was with my head held high an emotional eater. I would turn to food at the slightest upset. Not any more. I am 2.5lb away from my initial target and 10lb away from my new aim. So I really want to say yes I'm confident I can both meet and maintain my goal…

Nope. You don't need appetite suppressants. The best one is willpower and a need to not be overweight any more.

Mmmm baked beans on a jacket spud then sprinkled with cheese!!!!

It's not a plateau. It's one week. Weight loss is not linear and many fluctuations can occur. Be patient and don't panic.

Ice cream group? ... Show me the money!!! P.S... I love sweets. I'm healthy. I'm losing weight. I'm a chocolate lover. Will I give that up because someone tells me they have "No nutritional value"... Erm nope. @MrM27 ... Are Ben and Jerry members in your group? ;)

Don't be sulking... I was pulling your leg. You've made amazing progress... but not everyone is aiming for the same goals ;)

This. To successfully go through WLS you need to change your mindset on food. You will have a completely different life. To me, I would find it much more beneficial to deal with my relationship with food and lose weight in a natural way than have to go through WLS just because it seems an easy option. Anyone who has been…

I'm a Brit... I can't be doing with drinking tea all day. Much prefer water.

It says on your profile that you've tried all the quick fixes and now want to do it right. By having surgery? Eeeek. Surgery is NOT an easy road to go down.
-
I drink 7 cups or 9 cups a day... I'm edgy like that ;)
-
I don't drink at all. I don't exercise either. Damnit.

Yep I'm sure Vickie is dying to look like a male bodybuilder. Lol

@skwytt What Christine is trying to say (I think) is that MFP calorie goal is what you should NET a day. So for me mine is 1480. I should NET that to lose 1lb a week. If I exercise and then eat NO calories back my net would be something like 1100 which isn't healthy. If you follow the MFP way you should always NET your…

Sounds like you have over inflated calorie burns. I have a Fitbit and lose weight so you can't blame the Fitbit. At 10.6 I'd assume you are not too far from goal so aim for 0.5lb a week loss. Input your details into MFP. Set yourself as lightly active not sedentary and only eat back half of the Fitbit burns. Weigh…

I've been eating All Bran. Really helps satiate me as it has a fairly good protein content for a cereal.
-
Weight gain is only a side effect because of increased appetite. I know. I put two stone on in a matter of months because I became a food Hoover and blamed the pills. Of course it was me shovelling the food in my face not the pills. Lol
-
Oh please don't misunderstand me. I wasn't making light of your goal. Just saying that 20lb isn't a loss to be panicking about. You can do this! :)
-
Woah back up a second. 20lb is not a huge goal. At 1lb a week it will take you 5 months. Five months in the grand scheme of your life is nothing. Exercise isn't needed for weight loss. It's for health and gives you bonus calories to eat back if you wish. Do you weigh food and liquids on a good scale? Are you sticking to…

Wolf... When it comes to chocolate... ANY chocolate will do

Slimline Bitter Lemon. I love it!

I almost debated counting my steps in my head. What a saddo.

I've logged my half an hour stomp to work as exercise so it's at least something. I'm going to walk round my living room in a circle for an hour tonight. I cannot believe how attached to a gadget I've got and that I am genuinely sulking at forgetting it.

Log it, own it, move on. No guilt needed.
-
Everyone has been actually really supportive about my weight loss. I'm the one who pulls myself apart and think I look awful. Lol

You can't beat slurping the rest of the milk after a bowl of Coco Pops!
