Pickle ball and a 60 minute walk (14,004) steps. Forecast for this week is HOT!! We will be using our backyard pool to stay cool. Pretty happy that summer is still here. ☀️

@RangerRickL I live on the prairies too; Saskatoon Saskatchewan. @pribud Thank-you for the "woohoo" cheer. I needed that. @pears734 Good news that the doctors anticipate a complete recovery for your brother.

It was weigh in day today. I am thrilled to say that I weighed in at 7.6 pounds down from April(which means I only gained .2 pounds this month). Since about July 15th things have been crazy around here; lots of renos, hospital visits, company, weddings, 2 weekends away etc. I do not do well when too many things are going…

My experience with traveling is that we eat well at the beginning of our trip but as time goes by our healthy choices get less and less. I believe this happens because fatigue and lack of routine sets in. Traveling is also stressful. We always buy groceries and walk a lot but still we end up off our healthy diet.

1. 12, 841 steps today(pickle ball and a 60 minute walk) 2. Tracked 3. Just under my calorie limit When I was growing up we had a stray German Shepherd for about 7 years. My one daughter has 2 cats and her children absolutely LOVE them. It's really neat to see them cuddle these cats.

What's my WHY? I retired from teaching 7 years ago and slowly put on 10 pounds. I am 5'3" and was always quite slim but the extra 10 pounds just made me feel gross/unattractive. The lightening bolt moment came in March in Palm Springs; our PS friends were all very slim and fit. I was struggling to be as active as they…

@fitastic2day I hear you. August has had me wanting to slide back to old habits. There have been so many distractions; 2 weekend trips to Alberta, window renovations(still in progress), getting rid of old windows and blinds(finally happened today), backyard tree removal(stump finally removed yesterday/sawdust everywhere),…

When I joined the UAC in April, that was definitely out of my comfort zone(posting my daily eating and exercise program pushed me to be honest and accountable to others AND myself). Recently, I played in 2 pickle ball tournaments. I am not a competitive person, but my husband wanted to play in the mixed double category. I…

NSV: I am down one size. Shopping is getting to be fun again. @craigo3154 Good to see where you like to walk. Some very challenging steep hills. Congrats on your NSV. @RangerRickL Congrats on your incredible consistency with being gluten free and staying within a particular zone. Great NSV.

Thanks @craigo3154 I needed to hear that. Thanks @RangerRickL for a very good reminder; good food choices happen when good foods are available/convenient. Have a great day everyone.

My sister-in-law's husband has been in the hospital for over a week. Tonight they got some good news from the doctor so she wanted to celebrate. She brought over some DQ Buster bars. I just couldn't spoil her excited/good mood so I had one. Didn't enjoy it of course. Over my calories. :(

Happy Birthday Rick!!

In Red Deer Alberta for a pickle ball tournament. Pass #3 and #4. We exert a lot of energy(burn calories) but we also need more than your usual fuel/food. No worries. Tomorrow everything is back to normal. Lifestyle not a diet.
-
@windowqueen2003 Wow!! Seven years since your kidney transplant is no small accomplishment. A good reminder for organ donations.
-
@windowqueen2003 Your loss of 1.6 pounds is great. This is a lifestyle not a diet(I am 60 and finally truly get it). ☺️
-
Hmmmm, lost the rest of my post. @fourathomej Yay, 3 years cancer free. Celebrate to the max. Things have been crazy hectic around here but I wanted to report something positive tonight, so I pushed myself to go to the gym(cardio and weights). Thank-you UACers for being there for me.
-
@trixsey1 Amazing!! @Slimpossible007 Great idea to review your goals! @conchita962 Good job for passing on the pizza. Your future self is grateful.
-
Still have a few more hours to go but will not have time to report in later. 1. 16,928 steps so far (walked 80 minutes with a friend this morning and did lots of housework) 2. Tracking/yes 3. Within Calorie limit/yes

Pass #2 We had 2 grandchildren sleepover last night. They came around 4:00 PM yesterday and stayed until after lunch today; we swam twice, did a backyard scavenger hunt and painted many rocks. We also did lots of reading and watched a few episodes of "Puss and Boots". Did not track but had tons of fun.

I am a moderator and so no foods are out of bounds. I enjoy a cookie (or something small/ not over 150 calories) after my meal at lunch. I always have one piece of toast with natural peanut butter and cottage cheese for breakfast. Works for me. I would rebel big time if certain foods were not allowed/restricted. It would…

Thanks @craigo3154 for sharing "You can't our-exercise a bad diet." Totally agree. Myth: If you exercise it doesn't matter what you eat. Fact: If you exercise it matters even more what you eat. Yes x3 today. (16,627 steps)

3 for 3

Yikes. Lost my post.

@fitastic2day Wow! No small accomplishment!! @craigo3154 Thank-you very much for taking the reins.

@RangerRickL I love your accountability promise to yourself and to this group. Enjoy your big family gathering.

A rough day but managed 3 for 3!! I biked tonight for 30 minutes. A nice change from walking or going to the gym. @Slimpossible007 thanks for the inspiration. We got our outdoor deck ready to be stained and I did more clean-up and shopping for our new windows and the deck. I really struggle to stay on course when I am out…
-
Pass #1 Did not track. Renovations are great but very stressful. Our new windows are in and the BIG clean-up is done. Happy that tomorrow will be a free day from renovations. Yay!!
-
Welcome back. Yay!! @Gus130 Are you done your chemo? @Slimpossible007 Those owls are adorable. A good day. Lots of disarray in our house today but I succeeded in keeping on track. Day 1 has been a success. We are putting new windows in so there was a lot of noise, dust, and things out of order.

Congratulations to those who made the winner's circle. Yay! Job well done. Congratulations to the rest of us who worked hard and made good progress. Last week was busy; visitors, travelling, and family wedding. Lots of distractions. A busy week ahead; new windows coming in and today one of our big old trees was chopped…
