  • I’ve been meeting my food and exercise goals this week but have been starting to stress about the commitments I made. So as of today, I’ve stepped back from the other fitness challenge I joined because it was having the opposite effect to what I expected. Instead of encouraging me to want to workout, I was feeling under…
  • Another good day, but realised I’ve been eating too much dairy, my sweet spot is one serving of dairy each day and I’ve been having more than that, I need to dial back on that a bit. Met my exercise goal. So this is going well so far.
  • Did well again today, I don’t seem to have reacted to the sauces from the weekend which is good news. Stayed on track with my food and did two workouts today, a walk in the park and a full body workout with light weights. I’ve joined a challenge in a fitness group I’m a member of on Facebook (JDA Fitness) which I thought…
  • A good start for me, did some exercise yesterday and today, allowed myself some unsweetened BBQ sauce with my pork ribs yesterday and some unsweetened ketchup and avocado oil mayo with my lunch today. This could be the key for me to stop sabotaging myself with my diet and keep the health I regained over the last two years.
  • I’m back, and definitely in need of this. I’ve been playing around with my carnivore diet this year, trying to be too strict or trying to be more animal based with fruits etc and just have constant problems when I do that. I also injured my shoulder in June, damaged my rotator cuff, and have only just got full movement…
  • My health really improved when I stopped eating all that stuff. I finally went carnivore which is as “clean” as you can get and that’s what got me back to full health. I still have some minor issues I’m working on but I’m convinced that those foods were contributing to making me sick. Not everyone has to be as strict as me…
  • I’m glad you’re feeling so great on carnivore @JanineAytekin I agree with @FIT_Goat that the fasting isn’t absolutely necessary on carnivore though, I lost a lot of weight on carnivore while still eating three meals a day. I’m still eating three meals a day and maintaining a normal weight, the lowest weight I’ve ever been…
  • Happy to report I’ve done two days of Pilates this week and about to do my third session. So I’m feeling really good at the moment. It’s also been very interesting as it’s the one activity I’ve done which has made me realise just how much my body has changed with my weight loss. The changes in how my body looks and feels…
  • Well, life has a way of foiling our best plans. After committing to this challenge I hurt my hand and was unable to use it, even small movements were very painful. Everyday actions like showering and cutting food were very painful so any kind of exercise was out of the question! Thankfully I’m finally recovered so planning…
  • You can do this, take some time to read through the posts here, especially the pinned posts. Make a plan for yourself of how you’re going to start, make a shopping list of what you need and when you next shop make sure not to buy anything off the list. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, even if you think it might be a silly…
  • I’m late joining this but it’s a good time for me to start committing back to regular exercise. I already go walking every day but I used to get a lot of enjoyment out of regular exercise outside of that. My goal for the rest of April is to do three days of Pilates or Yoga every week. It’s part of my mental health recovery…
  • Getting a total of around 30 minutes asking each day as part of my journey to my new job. So although this month hasn’t gone to plan and I’m not doing the workouts I really want to do, at least I have been getting some activity in each day!
  • Good luck, you can do this!
  • No exercise again this week apart from a walk on Sunday. But I am getting more walking in on my journey to and from work so it’s not a complete disaster. I’m getting into a routine with my evenings after work so hopefully once I’m in a settled routine that works I can get back to regular exercise. At the moment I’m still…
  • Started my new job Tuesday, it’s going really well but there are train strikes next week and I can’t work from home so am now wondering if this is going to work out. I shall have to see how it goes! The job is great and the people lovely, it’s just the travel that could be an issue if we start having regular strikes here…
  • My job interviews went really well yesterday. Got in a lot of walking around London between the two so that was my exercise for yesterday. I was offered both jobs and accepted one. It’s office based which wasn’t what I was initially looking for as I’ve been working from home but it’s a really good job and decided to take…
  • I did a half hour workout yesterday. I’ve got a couple of second job interviews tomorrow from a couple I did yesterday. So today I won’t be exercising, don’t want to risk straining anything!
  • I’m late joining as I wasn’t sure I could to commit to anything this month. I found out I was being made redundant just a few weeks ago and then the week before last they told me my end date would be 31st May. Luckily, because they brought my end date forward they have to pay me in lieu of notice so I now have both…
  • Short walk yesterday and Pilates today. That wraps up May for me as I’ll have a rest day tomorrow.
  • Did a half hour full body workout, wanted something a bit more energetic than the Pilates. I chose a routine that focuses more on the upper body to avoid any issues with my hip. I think this might be the perfect routine for me, a mix of different exercise routines each week.
  • No exercise the last two days apart from a short walk yesterday, Thursday was so busy at work and I finished late. Relentless meetings to hand things over as my employer decided to move my redundancy date forward to the 31st. On the good side it means I’m free to start another job as soon as I find one. I did get out…
  • Did half an hour on the exercise bike so three days this week, might not reach my goal of five days but I’ll try. Just realised how impossible half an hour on an exercise bike was not so long ago. On another positive note, had a clear out of my painkillers yesterday. At one point I was on a combination of codeine,…
  • Thank you! Yes, it’s been an amazing journey, very tough at times as I kept discovering food intolerances I didn’t even know I had but worth every moment to be where I am now! Sorry to hear about the scale, sounds like it was a really good one. Glad to hear you’re still doing well.
  • Went out for a walk in the park yesterday, did Pilates today so I’ve got at least two days of exercise in this week. The Pilates is really helping my mental health, it’s so focused and the movements very precise it’s almost like a kind of meditation. The 25 minute session just flew by today. I’m also using muscles I didn’t…
  • No exercise yesterday as my back was a bit painful in the morning so decided to not chance it. Felt better today so did 25 minutes of Pilates. Really enjoying this at the moment, it’s mentally soothing as well as really working the muscles. I really need that mental calm right now.
  • Went walking on Sunday and did another Pilates session yesterday. Had a bit of an emotional breakdown on Sunday afternoon over my redundancy so am making a conscious effort to keep doing things that I enjoy. Today is a rest day and boyfriend coming over for dinner. Planning another Pilates session tomorrow.
  • No exercise at all this week as I was still recovering from whatever I came down with last week. Finally feeling better today so am about to do a Pilates session. I need a workout that’s both working my body and soothing to the mind as I’ve just found out that my department at work is being relocated overseas so I’m being…
  • Still not feeling well. Went out to the local French market shop yesterday but that let me exhausted. So no walking yesterday and no exercise today. Will have another rest day tomorrow which is my usual rest day anyway and hopefully I will feel better and able to to some exercise on Wednesday.
  • Yesterday was a rest day but I also came down with a cold. Feeling quite unwell today so won’t be doing any exercise, spending a day relaxing on the sofa and sitting in my window chair reading. Planning on still going out for a walk tomorrow. It will be nice to do something and walking is easy to adjust to how well I’m…
  • Did my usual half hour workout today. I usually do a workout on both Wednesday and Thursday and wanted to compare how my usual workout compared with the Pilates. With both workouts I felt like I had worked my muscles hard but not too hard. I felt really good after both workouts as I usually do after exercise. But there was…
