Went overboard with the dairy over the weekend so need to be more strict with myself. But last couple of days have been much better. Went out for two walks over the weekend which gave me two days exercise. Did some Pilates after work today which I liked but got a bit annoyed with the lack of space in my living room, a…

Two goals for May. I’ve just cut out my daily dairy habit as it was clearly causing me problems and I’ve had a setback with my exercise routine that means I need to rethink what I’m doing. So, goal one is to keep my dairy limited to a couple of days a week and only a small amount of lower carb dairy like cheese or cream.…

Went out for a walk on Sunday, Monday did a half hour on the exercise bike. Today I did a half hour lower body workout but disaster struck. My hip gave up after a set of squats and I ended up on the floor. I had a lot of hip problems before I started the carnivore diet but they seemed to have gone away. I didn’t even have…

Did a half hour full body workout today, not feeling my best today as I had a food slip-up yesterday that left me feeling unwell. A reminder to myself that I do need to be very strict with my diet and stick to my new food routine that was actually going really well last week. But I still managed to exercise today which is…

Did a half hour upper body workout so met my goal of five days exercise this week, yay.

Did a 30 minute lower body workout after work so just need one more workout this week to meet my goal of five days exercise. Planning upper body tomorrow.

The weather was lovely here the last couple of days so took a couple of walks to nearby parks. Spent two hours walking around on Sunday and an hour yesterday. I’ve lived here about fifteen years but have never been able to visit the three parks we have as I had such problems walking and they were just that bit too far away…

No exercise the last two days so didn’t meat my goal last week but I wasn’t feeling good earlier in the week and I’ve learnt the hard way that pushing yourself when you have a chronic pain condition is a really bad idea. So I allowed the rest. Start of a new week for me, did a 30 minute full body workout and really enjoyed…

Rested the last two days as I was still recovering from my food experiment over the weekend. A reminder of just how careful I have to be with my diet. Yes it’s a bit boring eating the way I do (carnivore, that’s just meat and eggs, with a small amount of dairy) but the consequences of straying is just not worth it. Just…

Start of a new week. Did a 30 minute full body workout yesterday and. 20 minute walk today. Not feeling good due to an experiment with my diet that hasn’t gone well but at least I’ve got two days of exercise in even if today was shorter than planned.

Did a 30 minute upper body workout today so reached my exercise goal for the week, yay! I can feel my muscles getting stronger but it shows me just how weak I had become, when I was at my most fit and healthy I would have done today’s workout easily but I really had to push myself. Looking forward to seeing improvements in…

Had a rest day yesterday. Did a half hour lower body workout today. Lots of squats and lunges, hard work and repetitive but I loved it! So I’ve done four days out of my goal of five. Planning an upper body workout tomorrow.

Did a half hour session on the exercise bike today. So that’s 3 days this week already. Just need another two over the next few days to meet my goal.

Goal is to do five days exercise a week, one outdoors. Yesterday did a 30 minute exercise routine. Today was a half hour walk. So that’s a good start to the month. Hurt my back moving a couple of pieces of furniture yesterday so will take it easy tomorrow and maybe just do a ride on my exercise bike.

This is the key for all of us with exercise, find something you enjoy! If you don’t enjoy it then you will always end up finding an excuse not to do it or get bored with it and just stop. Do try new things because you never know, you might be surprised to find you like something you weren’t sure about. Find things you love…

@NYPhotographer2021 So glad it went down again so quickly, that will help you remember it’s only temporary next time it happens!

Firstly, in my experience both dumbbells and home scales aren’t 100% accurate, so the small difference when weighing the dumbbells is just a normal variation in the scales plus the dumbbells not weighing exactly what they say they do. I know this because I became obsessed with scale weight and I’ve weighed things to test…

My goal for April is to exercise five days a week with at least one of those days being walking outside. But also not to over-exercise as if I’m doing weight/strength exercises, for example using exercise DVDs, I find it easy to do too much and cause a Fibro flare up. So those sessions must be limited to half an hour. It’s…

Back to my normal food routine this week and back to work after my holiday. I weighed myself and didn’t put on any weight over the holiday. I used to put on about 7lbs every holiday. I had a birthday treat and had some honey but otherwise stuck to my diet and this is the result! Feeling good, feel like I can finally relax…

Just got back from a four day trip to the New Forest where we spent days walking on the coast and in the forest. I would never have been able to do this before, it’s so amazing. Added a teaspoon of honey to my breakfast every day but otherwise stuck to carnivore eating. That worked really well for me, I had the energy to…

Feeling good again, energy levels up and steady again. Tweaking my dairy intake as yogurt is flaring up my histamine issues so going back to a little ricotta for breakfast. Seemed to work well last time. Still focusing on how I’m feeling after eating and through the day. I really do feel better. I think my body needs a…

So focusing on exactly how I’m feeling and trying to cut out the dairy again has made me understand that I really do feel better on a carnivore diet with some higher carb dairy. Physically and mentally. Very happy to have found my final answer and now looking forward to settling into my new food routine and feeling great…

New food routine going well, didn’t have any lightheaded episodes and only had a little dip in energy this afternoon. So a really good start, seems like I need to be eating a lot more than I thought I did. Still focusing on my meals and how they’re making me feel, this is really helping.
-
OK I have a new plan! Of course I do, where would I be without changing my mind every five minutes lol. My histamine reaction is flaring up again due to the yogurt. So I absolutely have to find a solution to this. So my plan now is to drop the yogurt but keep eating a little cheese every few days. In theory this should…

Spent some time really thinking carefully about my situation, shutting out the world and focusing on it. Then had a discussion with my boyfriend who is always a voice of reason. Have decided for now to stick with the carnivore and goat dairy option. Goat dairy doesn’t flare up my other issues and only became a problem…

So focusing on exactly how my food is making me feel is really helping me figure things out. My carnivore journey has gone really well as long as I stick to a narrow range of dairy intake and a small amount of animal based carbs. But it’s become clear to me that I have to stick to goat yogurt with a lactase enzyme for my…

Having to rethink my diet again, suffering awful symptoms again after cutting out dairy. My body hates too much dairy but it also hates zero carb and zero dairy. Symptoms are so bad I can’t carry on. Looked over my food and symptoms diary and I feel my absolute best when I’m eating carnivore with limited lactose free…

Yesterday I decided I would limit my social media activity and not allow myself to check it after dinner. Didn’t quite manage to avoid it completely but I did go a couple of hours just actually watching tv and focusing on the programmes instead of constantly looking at other things. It was good. Today I had to work late so…

My goal for March will be to focus on what I’ve got that’s working for me and stop trying to push myself, stop thinking about the next thing and just be grateful for where I am. Focus on how good the right foods make me feel. Focus on how good the right amount of exercise feels. This is a really good month for me to do…

I forgot to mention yesterday that on top of the digestive issues I also had a Fibromyalgia flare up. I expected (and got) sore muscles after that long workout but was hoping it wouldn’t trigger my Fibro. I’ve kept off the dairy today and my stomach is already a lot happier. So I guess that’s my body’s final word on both…
