  • Trying to get back on track for the umpteenth time. My goal for the first two weeks of the month was a simple one. It was to start back taking my lunch with me instead of eating out everyday. Now that I seem to be back on track with that, this coming week, I plan to step it up with menu planning, etc., plus get back to…
  • Thanks for the welcome back everyone. I won't guarantee that I will be here everyday but hopefully more than my flybys every few months that I've been doing. Yesterday mom (who's been staying with me for almost 2 years) and I went over to the hometown. We try to go over weekly to check on property, etc. Unfortunately, it…
  • Morning everyone. I think it's been about 2 months since I last checked into the group. Have been busy, busy, busy. Seems like when things slow down in one area of my life, another area ramps up. I'm hoping things finally slow down some during the second half of the year, so that I can get back to healthier habits /…
  • Hello everyone, it's been awhile, maybe a couple of months. Every time I think things are going to slow down for awhile, they just ramp back up. Hoping that I can find some balance during the second half of the year and get back to healthy habits / routines that stick no matter how crazy life gets.
  • I was at church most of the day. Eating was not great. Breakfast was okay, had 2 cookies and a granola bar at church + about half of a diet coke. After I got back home I collapsed and slept away most of the afternoon and evening. Never did eat anything for dinner and now I think I've got some kind of stomach bug as I've…
  • Morning everyone. This has been a crazy hectic month for me. While I've been checking into MFP, that's about all I've been doing. I don't think I've checked into the thread in over two weeks. Exercise has been non-existent, eating has been not the best. Even the week I had all my meals planned got derailed from the start.…
  • I have a Fitbit Blaze. I started out with a Fitbit Flex which stopped charging but I was ready to up grade anyway just because I'm a gadgets kind of gal. Granted I've not used all of the bells and whistles of the the Blaze but my favorite features as compared to the Flex are 1) it has a watch. I had quit wearing a watch…
  • Not starting off the month good at all. Was doing good until Friday. Friday, we had a super bowl potluck at work. Did okay there except for the chips and salsa. Totally, lost it when I came home. Saturday was out of town. Did semi, okay, again, but then have lost it in the wee hours of the AM. On top of that I checked my…
  • This is so me!. Since I just discovered this challenge, I will start tomorrow, Monday 02/06/17.
  • Morning everyone. Quick check-in from work via my cell phone. Hope to have time to catch up this evening. Thankful for the start of another day and another month.
  • For Monday, didn't get the exercise I had planned in. But... did get a few squats, jumping jacks, and calf raises in. Last year, one of my younger cousins (40s) issued a 30-day challenge. Part of the 30-day challenge was to drink a gallon of water a day, and to do 25 squats every time you went to the bathroom. Last year,…
  • Just realized I did my first post in June 2016 and never checked in again. I still seem to be struggling with taking care of me. Celebrated another year of life this month (56) and recommitted, again. My mother, who is now 88, still lives with me. Eating wise, so far this year, I've had good days and some bad days.…

  • Hello

  • Trying to get back on track starting now. My 87 yo mother came to live with me in November, which I'm enjoying but it also affected me taking care of me. Throw in work schedules changes and well, you get the picture.... (weight gain, A1C numbers ticked up, etc.) As of last week, I'm back to more normal work hours, so…
  • I got up to 60 when I first started before I began to forget to start logging in. The weekend is what usually trips me up. I do good logging in during the week but tend to forget on the weekend.
